I have thrown both and I have found that the range is faster then the berg and less torque resistant, especially on the sidearm. It might be a good alternative for your mega seasoned one but I dont think its as identical to a normal berg.
Exactly what I found from my space race total eclipse range. It felt like its a tad less stable than the cosmic one you're throwing but it made its way into my bag due to how well it just drops like a berg at the end. It's a toss up between that and my total eclipse proxy for straight or slight turnover backhand tunnel shots.
I love my Bergs and use it as my go to approach/putter and so I was wary of the Range being a Berg clone. Fell instantly in love with it at the Space Race and I think is the perfect combo with the Berg for a slightly different shot shape... dead straight money!
You’re making me feel old I have a K1 Ice Berg from 2017 went straight in the bag the day I got it from Marshall Street and never left since haha my favorite shot is the Simon line. It’s like a 1 speed pig on that line. Got another Ice Berg in a zip loc for backup
Some people shit on the Berg, but now that MVP has released one I'm sure those people will suddenly love it. For ams and pros alike, having a disc that really caps your distance is so useful, especially when it's also very straight and torque resistant. For ams who do not throw elite distances, the difference between mids and regular putters in terms of distance is not very pronounced - so you can really get away with just bagging a Berg for shots within ~230ft and then skipping up to 4/5 speeds for the next step up in distance.
Nice Review, I've been wanting to get out and throw my Cosmic Neutron Range and the weather has been frigid and snow covered. Hoping to get out tomorrow or the next day to throw it and make a video on it. The Range was an instant bag from the Space Race. Aside from the all around amazing-ness and versatile putter this is, I have to say, the hand feel is great as well, where some may enjoy the overall hand feel of this versus a berg versus a disc under the radar that I will be comparing it to at some point.
I just recently lost a magical berg. It was glow, beat in from cold weather and double dyed so its a magical amount of stability. Ill have to try the range. I had no idea it was so similar! 😂
The berg was the only disc I've never taken out of the bag since the first round I played with it... until the space race. The Range is a perfectly seasoned, slimmer Berg. Interestingly, it opens up a spot for the BergX, which was too similar to the Berg to bag, but there's a noticeable difference between the BergX and the Range
Interesting and good video, but I wish you would have brought a brand new Berg as well, just so we could see the comparison of the Berg vs Range out of the box :) Your Berg is indeed the most beat in disc I might have ever seen, lol, and therefore it doesn't really give me a good reference point. Edit: Would be interesting to see the new Opto Sinus alongside a new Berg and the Range aswell. They're not the same shape, but I have a guess that they will all share a similiar flight?
@@IceBergTV Thanks man :) I guess it comes down to plastic and batch and what-not, but my Berg in glow plastic is a small bit more stable than my Opto Sinus, so that's what I based my comment on.
🔥
You may already know but your code doesn’t work on mvp axiom streamline for disc golf USA
You talk about that berg with more affection than I talk about my kids. That’s awesome.
Its my favorite lol

I think that's a pretty accurate assessment.
@@IceBergTV I did only try the glow version of the range though. Not sure how yours compare in stability
Finally someone who understands the Berg and throws its intended flight, sidearm!
I throw and putt with ethereal Praxis (totally a 10:10) and use a glow berg and spore for up shots but haven’t loved them. Excited to try this out.
This is the review I have been waiting for! Awesome job can't wait to get my hands on the range!
Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoy the new disc.
I got a glow range during a Space Race, they’re awesome!

Please consider adding some close-up shots of the profiles side by side on a level countertop indoors.
Good suggestion thanks!!

Thanks! I appreciate the support!!!!!
@@IceBergTV absolutely!! i'm so hyped on discounted preorders :D:D
i heard that the range is a little faster what do you think.
It is, but barely.
IceRange TV
Broooo buy a new Berg 😂… but also thanks for this… I’ve been eyeing the range and waiting for this comparison
It's tempting, but my Berg has seen some things. :)
@@IceBergTV I feel ya. Nothing like some feel good history with a disc to give you the confidence to approach the green

Warspear!
How far do they go? Can they replace a P3x?
No, the range is more straight and goes less far! Hope this helps!!
The question is what will happen when they get worked in. Will they flipp to much?
that berg ain’t a berg😐 and I’ve never even thrown one😂
