Stuart Hamm was my bass player back in 1983 for a short while in Atlantic City (we rehearsed out of L.A.). He is so talented but also so FUNNY. A pure joy to work with.
I had heard of Stuart Hamm and I was in a pawnshop and bought his album The Edge on CD! I was blown away, I never thought anyone could play bass guitar like that and I’ve been a fan ever since!
I love the Factor Bass. I was playing a MODULUS GRAPHITE back then in 1980. I thought about a Factor, but the Modulus was recommended by a friend and I was kind if "iffy" on the headstock less neck. I'd love to get one now,if I could afford it.
I've heard that sound somewhere before in a game trailer or movie but I'm certain I've heard but it's driving me made that I don't know where it's been played before
English: Stuart Hamm is the Joe Satriani and the Edward Van Halen of bass guitar. An excellent harmonist, and also an excellent technician. An innovative bassist with the tapping technique on the neck of hus bass guitar. I'd like to see Stuart Hamm produce a solo witn an 8-string, or even a 12-string bass guitar! It would be amazing and fantastic. A wizard and a virtuoso on the instrument. With Billy Sheehan, Stuart Hamm is the best bass guitar player worldwide.
Billy Sheehan who??? 😂😂 just playing y’all lmao both Legends and beasts in their crafts! But Stu was the first one I ever seen do this type of playing and still make it so musical

My brother showed me this years ago. And i still come and watch this every now and then.
I hear ya, at least once a month, usually after listening to Joe Satriani.....
Wow nostalgia. I think I still even have his old VHS lesson video from 30+ years ago! :)
Sounds absolutely incredible. Very musical player. Always plays the right notes.
Truly a master of the bass guitar! I could watch him play all day!

Hermosa versión de uno de mis bajistas favoritos!! Felicidades Stu!!

Saw his solo tour ,when he was with Satriani!! Awesome chops, funny guy!!
Very Underrated Bass guitar player
@American Hero my god your a moron
Very underrated. He is a very talented session player .studio work is easy though.
Saw him playing with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai (greatest show ever)
Really? When was that?
Sharp Style Fortune in Dallas, probably 20 years ago now.
John Harris I guess the ,,greatest“ shows played Jaco... Stu himself said so.
Same here it was early 90s for me (believe it or not).
The Undertaker playing the fuck out of that bass guitar
best comment.
Let’s face it, if the infamous Undertaker v Undertaker was just two Stu Hamms playing dueling bass guitars it would have been equally dope
HA 😂

My lad plays guitar and sent me this - it’s bloody good, not your usual “in the background” bass.

is there any bass player who still use kubicki ex factor bass as their main bass, now in 2022, on stage and in recording?
Bi Ribeiro, from the brazilian band called "Os Paralamas do Sucesso" is the only one that comes to mind
Samuel reoli makes the cover with this bass solo. Mamonas assassinas Forever

To think that Cliff Burton would've been capable of doing this
Stuuuuuuu
Audiences are very disjointed over bass solos and never did know when the riff was over so they could cheer.
