Who's guys constantly lie about good things that come out every single fucking year. There is always something new and good to play. Not just triple a games there's also great double a games also will never forget the good indie games.
The only thing I see to complain about in the gaming industry right now is what unity is trying to do.

Literally at the beginning of this year we got Pizza Tower and Hi-Fi Rush. Two great games from opposite ends of the game industry sphere that released A DAY apart from eachother, and that was just in January. Anyone saying that this year alone hasnt been full of goated releases needs a medical checkup to make sure their mouth isn't where their ass should be.

Yep even Wikipedia has a whole list of every game released by year and it even takes into account the different region release dates.
My most anticipated game this year was one that is not an established game like the rest. Lies of P is an amazing game and shows that while the triple A developers are hard at work on their next project that you can still find games you'll love from different places. The mentality pushed forward that games now suck the main players in game development haven't pumped enough games out each year is really stupid. When a developer cares about the product it takes time but that's why we get amazing games. What is being asked is quantity over quality. By the big publishers less games are being announced and released but no one knows until announced the actual number of games being developed by them and how long they are working on them to make sure it is ready. In the meantime you have smaller developers and indies that are right there ready to be enjoyed.

I'm pretty sure there is an extension that does show the dislikes, it's called "Return UA-cam Dislikes" and I found it on the chrome web store.

Indie game companies are always a risk. Like any company being built from the ground up. From a company stand point. Indie games are not a scam but far too many indie companies don't last for too long.
That said... Are there con artists in the indie scene? Yes. Like asset flips. But not every game is like that.
Are free to play games predatory?... Most certainly for 90% of them, sadly. But it could be done better compared to the past 20 years of free to play / mobile games.

Am I misunderstanding his points at 16:02 and 17:23? Because to me it seems like he’s complaining about indie games being limited in scope, but then says how AAA studios overly focus on making their games larger. Am I going brain dead or something?
A good argument would have been "We get less games from our favorite series over time". Which is somewhat true in some cases, like Halo, Gears of War, Ace Combat...and that could be from different factors, like it actually takes more time to make them nowadays, most games back than reused assets a lot......personally i think that if the final product is good and polished, then it's worth waiting. And in the meantime there are always lots of old and new games to play. The only thing i complain about is that they don't make many military singleplayer shooters like they used to.

I hope you do more of this kind of videos here and there. I'm really sick of this narrative "old games good, new games bad". There's like a lot of good games back then that's not revolutionary. Not every game should be.

If Starfield was released before the merger, it would have been a cross-platform game. They lost money with Fallout 76, releasing the same year it and Starfield were announced. I truly thought it would have at least been released in 2019-2021. Hell, this was also Cyberpunk 2077 because of how long that game also came out. I insulted Assassin's Creed for the yearly release back when Black Flags released, but I do miss yearly releases now and then from big studios like Rockstar. Imagine if GTA released every year, we'd already be at GTA XIV at this point.
