Sometimes choosing jail is a better option. I chose jail over being homeless. I went into the Mojave desert and started a huuuge bonfire so I could get arrested, It worked and I got a year. I made alot of friends, got in shape and kicked my alcoholism. One of the best years of my life. 3 meals and a bed are waaaay better than waiting in line for 2 hours just to get one meal and then go sleep back on the road.
