I don't know anything about this music except I found a song on Spotify and since then I play it whenever I paint. This is not just music, as an artist I realized that it does something else, it opens up something which is hard to verbally communicate. If I close my eyes and listen to this, there is a small type of baby elephant dancing, he dances by himself and is very happy. If you keep your eyes mind on him while he is dancing he just becomes very bright until everything is bright in your head and then he disappears.
What's the name of the song?
Share the song please!
The complexity is mind-blowing. The time and practice to learn something so ancient and yet survive to this day.
Its like a science of human sense of music.
It really is!
Music (Tal&Raag), Colours (Earth colors), Food (Spices)- the indian touch is unique and sublime!
slight correction (respectfully) to the host in his final summation, raga is not the scale. Thaat is the scale. Raag is the unique melody or signature melodic phrases, whose beauty evokes certain feelings or rasas, such as romantic love in union, romantic love in separation, heroism, wonder, playfulness, serenity and many more. Sometimes about mundane subjects, but often glorifying spiritual Divine pastimes.
Wow 😮 😅
You are right.
Respect.
The experience of hearing Indian classical music is like a deep dive into an ocean of enchantment, having the capacity to charm the listener for a very long time, around an hour or even more.
Other forms of music are miles away
Music is heart of India ❤️

A recently released book discusses this topic;

with ICM you will always feel this way. It is the raag framework that inspired the tunes
They are probably playing raag desh, so you may find it heard because of hearing songs based on rhis raag like vande matram or even roja.

If you think that they have many flaws, that is fine. But they have given many things to Indian Music and have enriched it.
