If Cheryl Strayed REALLY went through something like this you know that she really didn't know what she was getting herself into.
Not really. their stories are very similar in the sense that they both retreat to the wilderness to find something more in their life, and they were both suffering emotionally when they set out on their adventures. However, their stories are also very different in a lot of ways. For the most part, Chris and Cheryl are two very different people. Also, Chris had a much better sense of the wilderness, and he went there wanting to seclude himself. He didn't go prepared and he died. Cheryls story differs in many ways. Read the books

vortic Into the Wild has been one of my all time favorites since I was 12 years old!! You should definantly read Wild, I think you will like it. You will definantly see similarities, but also vast diferences between the two stories. it's a good read!
I liked this movie when I saw it in the theaters.............. I thought the end was very anti climactic. BORING. The trail itself was great. Off the trail..............ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
