If you salvage a weapon, or an item with a gem in it, they will give it back to you for free. You don't have to pay them to remove it for you. Just a heads up if you're going to salvage any item with a gem in it.
You mentioned something about not having to mark stuff as junk to salvage, could you explain that a little? maybe that was in a former version of the game??
for working on items for the cube thingy. I seem to find death thingys easy. but where can I farm the other items? like the Angel wings and those items level 60 paragon and still confused a bit
I have lerorics crown can i put a second gem slot in 2 make it +x amount of xp incressing any gem sloted in that item by 99% lol i ran outa gold to keep trying:S lol

Does picking what to “train” the vendors on effect anything? Will I only be able to craft the recipes I trained the vendors with?

No multiple craft for rares, that's painful for cube stuff. Will take an age to get 50 of something.
