She lived in a era that we would not recognise now and suffered as a vehicle to God . I pray in my own way to her and hope in a small way I can right the failures in my life by her actions. I was baptized Catholic in 1964 when I was a year old. My mother stopped going to the Catholic Church, so I didn't go to the Catholic Church until I was 17 years old. I didn't care for the new mass brought in by the Vatican II Council at age 17, so I became a traditional Catholic. I love the beauty of the Latin mass and how it is still the same mass started by Jesus.

I was sitting in my living room last night listening to a meditation CD. I had my headphones on. This CD new...never had heard it before. The music was so beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful I told myself listen to this...this music is straight out of heaven. I have s book about the life of saint Bernadette. Bernadette speaks. Her beautiful face adorns the cover of the book. I am protestant but Saint Bernadette and Saint Gemma Galgani watch over me. I don't feel that often. Just getting old at age 60. I have many health issues that go along with getting old. Those eyes...those beautiful brown eyes follow me wherever I go in my living room. I have the book propped up. I have a prayer card with Saint Gemma Galgani on it. Her face...this lady was stunningly beautiful. Both of these women were. So I get into the CD and the music is soooo beautiful. So the women talking throughout the CD...her voice was beautiful. No women I had heard ever spoke like this woman. I do not even think it was a woman. But the voice was very feminine. Throughout One portion of the CD the LADY is saying this. Well for one thing these meditation CDs focus on the body to relax the mind and body. So throughout the CD I keep looking at Saint Bernadette and Saint Gemma Galgani. These Heavenly creatures. So it strike me...I kept looking at the book about Saint Bernadette. Bernadette speaks. It hits me Saint Bernadette is talking to me. Maybe Saint Gemma also. The voice kept saying all the by parts of a human being. Your eyes are made out of love. Your lips are made out of love...your back is made out of love. God create Man and Man is created in the image of God. I thought Saint Bernadette is talking you. This is her voice from heaven...another world from where we are. She kept saying you are in control.So I got a tad emotional to say the least. It hit me like a ton of bricks. This heavenly voice from another world. It is said we can't fathom what God looks like. But we know what Jesus looked like. God is a woman. This was God speaking to me...thunderstorm came up as I was listening. For a man in heaven God will be woman. And for his Brides ...the Brides of Jesus Christ God is a man. It is so simple. In Heaven we will have access to both. Female to Male. I love women...of course women are different than Men...of course we know that. But this was the voice if God....I listened to it all night. So relaxing and soothing. God is a woman from another world...well Heaven. God dwells in Heaven I listen to a lot of rock music. I have become disenchanted with this. Some lyrics are profound. But some of rock music is just noise basically. For me being a heterosexual man God is a Woman. And when I get to heaven I hope to meet these two saints because I live them so and what they have meant to me. Sent goose bumps all over me that one day I will sit on a bench hopefully in Heaven if The Lord takes my soul. And both these Saints will be sitting beside me. Whew.

I have been to both Lourdes and Nevers, where the body of this little Saint rests in her glass coffin in the church of the Cloître Saint Gildard. Both places were and are filled with the breath of Ste. Bernadette (soeur Marie-Bernarde). I feel humbly privileged to have had these occasions. She shall forever be very important in my life. On TCM today, I watched the 1943 Movie about Saint Bernadette, I loved it.

But they came to believe Bernadette because of the spring but even before that, because of the transformation that came over Bernadette when she saw Mary...even if it was but reflected light...they saw it .

Thank you for posting this. I found it very moving. Maybe because I just added a video about Bernadette on my own channel yesterday. Her story is both beautiful and tragic. +Orv Pibbs In those days Orv many did not smile, plus Bernadette was always dubious of her picture being taken, she wanted to know it's purpose, and most times she had to sit for over an hour without moving, this caused her more physical pain.

The Sleeping Beauty. She looks so content in her glass casket. So peaceful. I would have a hard time seeing her in person...I would be overcome with emotion. We ALL love SAINT BERNADETTE. She had so much courage and character. This is the type of person who is in heaven right now. God Bless you Saint Bernadette.

I have been to both Lourdes and Nevers, where the body of this little Saint rests in her glass coffin in the church of the Cloître Saint Gildard.
Both places were and are filled with the breath of Ste. Bernadette (soeur Marie-Bernarde). I feel humbly privileged to have had these occasions.
She shall forever be very important in my life.
