I grew up in Bentong but now reside overseas. For nostalgia reasons I viewed all the available vids on Bentong; from the bottom of my heart, your vid on Bentong is the best. Thank you.
Thanks for another excellent UA-cam video, Elmo. Yes, the old road to Kuantan passed through Bentong and that stretch was particularly treacherous. I have witnessed many lumber lorries falling into the ravines. Fellow lorry drivers will offer incense joss sticks by the roadside before carrying on with their own loads. The current Karak Highway is well known to be an accident zone but old timers will remember those truly unforgiving corners with steep drop offs.
Nice, didn't know Kok Hing Chicken rice is good. Must try next time when I am back. Bentong wantan mee almost every stall also quite good. Thanks Elmo for the recommendations.
New subscriber here. Love the content of yr vdos especially when you travel to less frequented places and talk about the history of people and places, the food and stall owners. I appreciate the work you put into these videos, providing a lot of interesting information, great filming and editing 👍👍🙏🙏. Happy Malaysia is open again 💕💕
Many years ago I drove to Bentong for "look see" (and visiting the famous beautiful Chermang waterfall), without knowing where to eat etc. and I ended up buying a "Chim Pan" (solid wood chopping block) in Bentong. 🤣🤣🤣 Now thanks for your video, I know where to try good food. Keep up the good work, Cheers.
This episode include some of Bentong's local delicacies ( eg. soy sauce, ginger and others) introduction that was illustrated well and thoughtful. Very good Elmo. I would share the same view on buying durian while using my wife's car ....... better not ... the consequences may be not well tolerated !!! Thank you Elmo again for a nice episode to introduce both the local delicacies and food of Bentong.
This time Mr. Lee intro the food and history of Bentong Malaysia Thank you very much l used to go to Genting Highlands with a friend lived in Bentong Today the past can only be recalled 🇲🇾 🤝 🇸🇬 one family 👍
Great to revised history of Malaya which I believe is not being thought in schools nowadays!! Funny apart for your postings , the last time I learnt more about the ‘ real ‘ development of Malaya was from Singapore Museum!! Lucky you to have such a good buddy of shared interest!! Great foodie review!! Btw Bentong ginger is the best and not cheap either!!
Honestly speaking, as a Pahang boy myself, not many places in the state I am familiar with, to say nothing of delicacies available in each district, perhaps the only exception is my home town. Thanks Elmo for providing such an useful and interesting information for a "glutton" as I am. The only problem is, to drive to any of the places that you have mentioned in this footage can be more painstaking than for me to travel all the way down or up to other places in peninsula, due to the size of the state.
Bentong ginger, durian ice cream and lemang are the must eats for me when I previously visited Bentong. Will target those again plus your recommendations for my next visit
Thanks Elmo for a great video . Every corner in malaysia has great food waiting to be discovered. Thanks to your video , your discovery adventure made it easy for everyone to enjoy more !
In GE13, I volunteered for some NGO to help distribute materials to Pakatan team in East Coast and stay one night at Bentung. The hotel was very scary, got 👻, but the food was awesome. I think u miss out some traditional hotspot that sell leung tofu in Kg Baru. And also got one ice cream shop in the town that made homemade ice cream.
Elmo, if you don't mind, could you upload some of yr Canto songs on UA-cam? When I searched, I was only able to find one oldie. Thanking you in advance!

Next challenge find best food in kuantan😆😆😆
LOL that's a tall order
