    1.Tempe(200g) cut into cubes
    2. 2Onion and 1garlic slice thin
    3. Stir fry the onion, garlic and tempeh

    Here's a simple tempe recipe that we usually cook here in Indonesia: prepare minced garlic, water, and salt, mix them all in a bowl, cut some tempe and marinate it in the garlic water mix, and then just fry it. It tastes so good! Don't forget to serve it with some rice and sambal ❤️

    I usually saute chopped tempeh with green beans. And for the spices I use onions, garlic, and a little bit of mushroom bouillon a.k.a totole. Your recipes look very tempting, especially the tempeh with sweet and sour sauce!

    I loooooveee tempeh! My favourite form of preparation is lightly salted and frying it plain, in a non stick pan without oil. If i want it to brown nice and golden, I'll add about 1 tablespoon of oil towards the end and continue till i get the desired shade of golden brown. Sounds so unappetising and bland but I can really eat it like that everyday!

    Love classic way to eat tempe, you can lightly pan fry the tempe with very little oil, then make your own tomato sambal (raw tomato, raw chili, kefir lime water, fermented shrimp paste, bit of salt and pepper) really love to lightly mash the tempe with the sambal on a pestle then eat with/out rice

    Tempeh is an acquired taste, but I have come to like it. Most people would probably do best to start with tempeh crumbled into a sauce, like pasta sauce. If you want to marinate the tempeh first that would also help.

    Thank you for sharing. Here is a very simple and down to earth tempeh recipe: Make your tempeh chips by slicing tempeh as thin/thick as you like using a mandolin slicer into a bowl of any sauce of flavor to your choice and soak them for a few minutes. Then, drain and pad dry before frying in oil or bake until golden brown. If you prefer, you can just fry or bake fresh tempeh slices to golden brown or crispiness of your choice. Then, mix in with any other chips or nuts of your choice for a superfood snack. Regardless, make sure your tempeh is NOT pasteurized. Here is how to check: Simply leave one tempeh slice in a room temperature (around 85F) for 1/2 day. If mycelium starts to grow on the tempeh slice, it indicates the tempeh is alive (unpasteurized) and contains rhizopus oryzae fungus used to make tempeh. Whatever you do, please don't throw away the tempeh slice covered with mycelium and you can use it as your tempeh starter for making your next tempeh batch. All you need is to leave it alone in an open air for another 24-48 hrs or until it is dry. At this stage, the white mycelium may be gone and the tempeh may be covered with black spores (make sure you don't inhale the spores). Then, pulverize the tempeh in a grinder with a tablespoon of rice flour and you have your fresh tempeh starter. Do a search in this youtube to find out how to make your own tempeh with this starter. Good luck.

    Hi! I came across your video while searching for new ways to cook tempeh, and your videos are amazing! I'm going to try the sweet and sour recipe, but realizing that you used raw honey in the video.
    I'm a pescatarian myself, so yes I still consume honey once in a while.
    But in you wrote vegan in your video title, so i think it's might be a little misleading for some people.
    Hope you can fix it, thankyou have a great day!

    Hi I really like your workouts. They are challenging but effective. I have a problem with my right leg, its a long story but due to it I cannot pull off the exercise entirely, meaning that I am unable to do the plank pose and side planks etc. The main problem is that I cannot put weigh on one of toes for I am suffering from NEUROPATHY, it is a constant pain on the toes due to some kind of problems with the nerves. Whenever I start to do exercise again after an interval of a few days, the pain starts again regardless of what kind of work I do e.g. Yoga or your type of work out. My main point and request is that can you come up with a work out that is a calorie burner and a body tone for people like me, where we are unable to use one of our limbs due to a certain illness or condition. One more thing my leg and foot is also smaller as compared to my left leg due a childhood injury. I know this is getting long but I didn't know how else to write to you. Hope you will reply . Looking forward to your reply :). Thanks
    P.S. I am getting treatment for neuropathy but it will takes months and I am already out of shape as it is and I want to get back in shape. One more thing, I don't go to a gym nore I can afford gym equipment so can those work outs be at home. Thanks Again

    • @joannasohofficial
      @joannasohofficial  6 років тому +1

      Hi, I trust the treatment will help you get better and reduce the pain over time. Perhaps it'll also be a good idea to ask the doctor's recommendation on what you can do? It's very difficult for me to give suggestions when I don't know the full picture. =) Plank or side plank, perhaps you can modify them and perform the exercises on your knees instead. Swimming is a great low impact workout, which might be suitable for you. With upper body workouts, you can modify them and do them while seated on the chair too. I hope some of these tips are useful but do get your doctor's advice. Sending my love to you. =)
