Proud owner of the 2022 v4 model here. I traded in my 2021 multistrada v4s for it. The streetfighter, so far, in the BEST bike I've ever owned. Design 10 out of ten. Overall built quality 10 out of 10. Sound 10 out of 10. Handling 10 out of 10. AND! compared to more "comfortable" bikes like multistrada, it actually manages to still give you this vibe and roar of an Italian motorcycle. All those gents in the comments complaining about the wind and sitting, and blah blah blah, just get yourself a prius -- super reliable, comfortable, economically justified. I used to own all sorts of bikes starting from Aprilia Shiver to Yamaha R1. The streetfighter is a beast of another kind -- the thrill it gives you is simply unbeatable by other rides.
I just signed the papers for this bike, 2024 v4s black and grey. I pick it up next Tuesday. I’ll just watch videos like this before it comes in lol. They are insanely quick.
I got the “vanilla” V4 and the Showa is still fully adjustable and the suspension is outstanding overall. The S upgrade would be wasted on me. As a street rider only, it’s the best bike I’ve ever had. As far as track riding, when I was doing that in my younger days, it was always on a ZX6R, which is (for me) the best track bike ever.
11:30, same issue I was having with the Speed Triple 1200 RS which is down in power by at least 50 hp. Nakeds are cool for the street, but for a fast track, a windscreen to hide behind is much needed.
Yes that why I don't hyper naked are really useful, they are sure fun to ride, but when you go north of +200 km/h aerodynamics is really important and you loose a lot of acceleration on a naked bike ! So I think for the street middle weight naked bike is the best like the street triple 765 rs 2023, because it's really enough power for the street, if you go on track, take a sport bike it will corner better and will have more top end power. Hypernaked bike is overkill.
Great / succinct, explanation of all the upgrades which I really appreciate. It’s the little things, added up, that make us safer & the bike more usable. Excellent review. 👌
I've test ridden Streetfighter V4 back in 2020 when they first came out, including taking it up to it's top speed. I'll probably release the footage later. What really astonished me is the superb handling it has at any speeds, the ease of riding, and especially the unbelievable stability and maneuverability at high speeds, which I never encountered on any other motorcycles before (and I tested a lot of them). So, yeah, Streetfighter V4 is truly AMAZING bike in this sense. But at the same time it's extremely impractical, boring and uncomfortable (due to vibrations) to ride at sensible speeds, fuel thirsty because of the unreasonably high gearing, and very physically painful to ride at high speeds due to aerodynamic pressure pushing my helmet against my face. Therefore, my conclusion on Ducati Streetfighter V4: it is extremely cool and fun bike to take for a test ride for a couple of hours, but it's really not good and pointless bike to own and daily ride. And if you want a bike with almost the same level of handling, speed, and fun, but at the same time comfortable, practical, versatile, and awesome to ride almost everywhere - get a Multistrada V4 than. But that's for another story.
I daily a 22 V4S and strongly disagree. I get over 40mpg and dont know what vibrations you speak of. In street mode its absolutely sublime to daily. As for your helmet issue I think you have a fit issue. I def prefer the naked wind distribution over the panigale windsheild. When youre not tucked your blasted in neck all day on the panigale. The multistrada is a completely diff class of motorcycle and shouldnt be in consideration if youre looking at bikes like the streetfighter.
@@Rex_Payne My second bike is a buell xb12scg so maybe thats why the little bit of vibration i get doesnt bother me dailying. My ride to work each way is 22 miles at 60-70 and i see 40mpg, and thats with typically cruising in 5th. More days than not it'll see the top of third which is stupid fast for the street. When riding upright i prefer the wind across my entire chest instead of at my neck like a full fairing bike. Maybe someday when i'm old ill get something that has a full windhshield like the multistrada As for luggage I carry a backpack or my wife does when riding two-up. Were able to get everything in there comfortably, and she really appreciates the active suspension of the V4S. For reference my past bikes included another Buell xb, an 1125cr, 1125r, ninja 600, and R1.
@@lukemages8350, yup. That's exactly what I was going to say: riders of a motorcycles with a lot of vibrations tend to get used to them and ignore them. I've seen this many many times. But vibrations are still there - you're just ignoring them. Carrying a backpack on a motorcycle is uncomfortable. Given the list of your previous bikes, you've probably never ridden a comfortable motorcycles. So you don't even know how good some of them are (like Multistrada V4 S for example).
@@Rex_Payne Ive ridden some cruisers and can say while very comfortable just not my style. For me the backpack is barely noticeable, again maybe because ive riddden with one for 15 years now. I feel kinda naked without it. Someday if i start getting uncomfy ill start checking out bikes like the multistrada :) Right now im considering trading the Buell for a Zero.
@@lukemages8350, cruisers sucks overall! And most of them are not even comfortable. Modern adventure bikes, on the other hand, are awesome! They are fast, comfortable (not the KTM, but others), fun to ride, with a great handling, very versatile, easy to protect with crashbars. Realistically, modern adventure bikes is everything that average rider might ask from the bike, and more. You should definitely try them if you haven't yet.
Would any of you rather have this bike or the bmw m1000R ? Personally, if the v4s had cruise control and an actual gas gauge, I would go for it ...haha
IMHO still chasing the wrong dream :( . I want maximum motorcycling experience at the lowest speed (because when my accident happens if i am enjoying my self a 60 it will be more survivable than if i am enjoying myself at 98. so this is a 4 cyl - so less sensation with more power so more speed ............ wouldn't want it if you paid me

Multistrada was too tame or not enough forward rate?
the first, yes. it felt more like a train on rails. too much power for a straight line rides with a very limited fuel tank.
Love Troy Siahaan's reviews. Thorough, articulate, thoughtful, unbiased.

I have a 2024, the reviews like this one made the difference in the purchase

Zx-6r is the best track bike ever.
I really enjoy the zx6rr, the 636 is great but the homologation 600 is 🤌🏼
I used to have a Ducati S4RS back in the day. Seeing this bike is really tempting to back and try the modern equivalent.
This bike is pure awesomeness. But who is buying these at $27k? Christ. I think I'd go MT-10 SP and pocket the $10K difference.
It’s me. I bought it and just got it in CT yesterday
There's a long waiting list, they can't build them fast enough. Same as the v4 multistrada, there top selling bike, most expensive in class.
Yeah i ordered mine in October of last year
Me too. Waiting for mine to arrive!
A lot of people who can afforded and appreciated the beauty of this . I will keep my mt09 and buy this as main bike 😍

It cracks me up that the "low power mode" give you ONLY 160hp (ie, still more power than any motorcycle that I have ever owned).
I ride the street fighter v4 and in '' low power mode'' it feels more like 65 hp until you hit 7000rpm
Hello
and super nice video, always fun to watch.
I ordered it in these colors. I hope I get it as soon as possible
Thank you for this beautiful review, will absolutely follow more of your stuff.

When are you testing the new Street Triple RS?
Where is your Video for the V2? I would like your opinions on the V2..
You said it perfectly 🤙
Love the starting ad. Goes well with the age old slogan "Ducati, making mechanics out of riders since 1946".
LOL jk. That said, I love this bike.
Hi Troy, how do you like your astars gp plus v4 suit?
Cool bike
Full power mode are brutal ✊✊🔥🔥🔥

Электроника это конечно уязвимость. 🤔
If Ducati makes a 400cc Streetfighter, they will triple their sales..maybe more
Why even?
They already have a beginner street fighter, the 150 hp V2 😂
It wouldn’t be a Ducati street fighter
That’s a hallbrawl

Worst first bike😜✊
Tried watching this video, but the blah blah blah made me not wana see it.. More riding next time 😊
Opposite for me, too much just videos of riding without the explanation between the old vs new models
Yummy!!!
I will be full engorged dreaming of this bike!
