Laijjo role was well played as it was a tragic role but the actress managed to portrait the whole arrange of emotions perfectly .The delusion the heartbreak of not being loved and having all her dreams shattered to which alcohol follows.I mean look how she dance performed well executed while still having to display the being drunk and hurt and humiliated ...We can all relate to her the actress was on point and Richa came across well only because of the great contrast of her fellow actress role...

Perhaps you are confusing the characters with the actress after all Richa is playing as the sober revolutionary trustworthy courtesan friend and its easy to like and connect to it while the main girl was the rebel girl in love with a revolutionary who dreamed of being a poet....Both roles were played well therefore your dislike for one and preference for the other one.
