He was in GGG face all night and never touched the ropes once. This is the first time i've seen GGG face looked so beat up. Either both fighters brough it in.

It was GGG's tactic FFS. He was trying to lure Canelo into exchanging and it worked and GGG outworked him most of the fight. Same thing with Oscar vs mosley 1 and 2. Oscar was aggressor first fight and lost by 1 round so decided to let Mosley come forward in the second fight. GGG knew he wasn't going to win a decision (and if Canelo RUNS again, he's not gonna have much chance KOing him), EVERYONE Knew that after the first fight which GGG won 8-4. His only chance was keeping Canelo close and only way to do that was taking half steps back but difference bettwen canelo backing up and GGG backing up was Canelo backed up and barely threw punches and took large portions of rounds off just keeping away. GGG took half steps back but stayed in the pocket all fight and continued to throw more and landed more than Canelo. GGG wasn't being pushed to the ropes or trying to maintain a gigantic distance between them, he wasn't sitting on his back foot. He just couldn't take the centre of the ring and he couldn't get in really close to Canelo like it seemed he was trying to. The two spent most of the fight at about arms length, GGG seemed to want to be a different distance so he was always adjusting. You can only create distance by making your opponent move where you need them or moving yourself where you need to. The only 'backing up' in the fight was when Canelo got exhausted at the end of the fight.

It was almost unbelievable. Canelo's performance on the ring reached to the level of legend. And it is certain he will grown into an even better fighter in the future. I thought GGG had won the fight, but as all others say, this result could go either way. It was such an intense and close fight, the fight that all boxing fans should be proud of. The way he took the punches from GGG and still held the ground was truly awe inspiring, worthy of the tile "True Mexican fighter." His head movements, counter punches, defense skills have become almost unparalleled. There's gonna be debate on going over result of the fight, but I can confidently say he earned the belt for sure. He seems to be a bit distressed in the conference room, possibly because of how people say 2nd fight was another robbery, but unlike the 1st fight, which was clearly unfairly biased to Canelo's favor, he definitely earned the victory today. Canelo moved forward throughout the fight because he was accused of running in the first fight. GGG fought on the backfoot because he's been accused of not knowing how to box despite having an amazing amateur career run. That doesn't mean anything. I wanted GGG to win but after watching it round by round I thought Canelo won. GGG wasn't being pushed to the ropes or trying to maintain a gigantic distance between them, he wasn't sitting on his back foot. He just couldn't take the centre of the ring and he couldn't get in really close to Canelo like it seemed he was trying to. The two spent most of the fight at about arms length, GGG seemed to want to be a different distance so he was always adjusting. You can only create distance by making your opponent move where you need them or moving yourself where you need to.
The only 'backing up' in the fight was when Canelo got exhausted at the end of the fight.

It was almost unbelievable. Canelo's performance on the ring reached to the level of legend. And it is certain he will grown into an even better fighter in the future. I thought GGG had won the fight, but as all others say, this result could go either way. It was such an intense and close fight, the fight that all boxing fans should be proud of. The way he took the punches from GGG and still held the ground was truly awe inspiring, worthy of the tile "True Mexican fighter." His head movements, counter punches, defense skills have become almost unparalleled. There's gonna be debate on going over result of the fight, but I can confidently say he earned the belt for sure. He seems to be a bit distressed in the conference room, possibly because of how people say 2nd fight was another robbery, but unlike the 1st fight, which was clearly unfairly biased to Canelo's favor, he definitely earned the victory today. So, Canelo, if you are reading this, you deserve some quality time with your family, good meals at nice places surrounded by people you care. A warrior like you deserves a good, pleasant rest.

GGG won on points. Nobody won the fight. 6 Rounds were a perfect draw. Golovkin won 4 rounds (rounds 4, 10, 11, 12), Canelo won 2 (rounds 1, 2). Canelo moved forward throughout the fight because he was accused of running in the first fight. GGG fought on the backfoot because he's been accused of not knowing how to box despite having an amazing amateur career run. That doesn't mean anything. Canelo was moving forward during round 10, does that not mean he didn't get rocked twice? Moving forward or backfoot fighting is a style, not an indication of who's winning. Canelo vs GGG 3 needs to be signed for May 5 immediately!
I wanted GGG to win but after watching it round by round I thought Canelo won. He pressed forward since round 1, brought the real Mexican style, threw the better shots and showed better head movement and defence. GGG threw many flurries but missed a lot. Canelo showed more variety in his skill set. The better man won tonight and so did the fans. This was a great fight!
