    This is correct wing chun technique applied on the ground, and people say wc has no ground game? The school I went to focused on nothing but ground application for at least a six month period. Great video!

      That sounds like a decent school. What school was that? Wing chun schools should concentrate on all aspects of fighting, not just stand up.

    • @neutrino78x
      @neutrino78x 6 років тому +2

      @popasmuerf well, real Jujitsu, the real traditional martial art, does not teach that one should stay on the ground for 2 hours. The Gracies adapted it to be used for that. Randy Williams is doing something similar with Wing Chun. You can apply the principles of a given system in a situation for which it was not originally designed.
      In real life you wouldn't want to roll around on the ground for 2 hours with someone who was attacking you. If I'm walking on the street and somebody punches me, I don't want to try to pin him on the ground. What I want to do is get myself to the point where I can create distance between him and I, and either run or call the police or both.

  • @Davyen

    I love the way he didn't even try to resist. Because irl the attackers are so nice.

    Kind of, but the human body only moves a certain way so at the end of the day, the moves you see can be related to Jiu Jitsu techniques.
    A punch is a punch, a kick is a kick :)

      It's wing chun jiu jitsu made for the streets. It works because he is a body guard and has actually tested it.

    I've used this live rolling. And if you watch Gracie combatives punch defense they control centerline and trap. What is butterfly guard? controlling centerline.

  • @mightymeatmonsta
    @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

    Very interesting the way you deconstructed than reconstructed the moves for the streets. They seem very effective.

    • @mightymeatmonsta
      @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

      How do you know he doesn't understand it? Where you there and did you see him do it? Again you assume that just because he does wing chun, he is incapable of figuring this out? It isn't too hard, you know, if you have brains. But since mma guys DON'T it is impossible for them to do that, isn't it? No, but HE HAS, YOU FUCKING IMBECILE! He used it in the streets, which is more than I can say for you or any of those mma morons! He tested it in REAL scenarios, not those fake ones you do in the ring! REAL SCENARIOS! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS? WHAT IS REAL TO YOU? BEING IN A RING IS REAL? WEARING GLOVES IS REAL? TIMED ROUNDS REAL? I NEVER HEARD OF TIMED ROUNDS IN THE STREETS, PEOPLE WEARING GLOVES, REFEREES OR DOCTORS ON CALL OR BEING ABLE TO VIEW A VIDEO OF YOUR OPPONENT ON THE STREETS, HAVE YOU? SO WHAT MAKES MMA REAL, TELL ME? JUST BECAUSE THEY BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER BECAUSE THEY ARE EVENLY MATCHED AND USE THE SAME CRAPPY SYSTEMS? THERE ARE OTHER FACTORS BESIDES THAT THAT MAKE UP REAL FIGHTS! AGAIN, YOU ARE JUST TOO STUPID TO REALIZE THAT AND TO ADMIT IT!

    • @mightymeatmonsta
      @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

      Again, how do you know? Are you there with him when he works? He has been doing this for a couple of decades (at least) and knows what he is doing. And there is no evidence mma works in the streets against real opponents, and you have yet to prove that! So that also makes YOU a liar as well since you cannot prove it!

    • @mightymeatmonsta
      @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

      So you can't change jiu jitsu to be street worthy, is that it? Or is it your HATRED for a superior system that is driving this rage? No, he wouldn't because he would stop the punch and trap the arm, as in wing chun. Again, you know very little of the wing chun system and are making these claims without ANY prior knowledge of it. This is just ONE VIDEO of many. Why don't you try watching more videos first before making a judgement? It looks to me like he is doing just that and than flipping the guy over to land on top. So tell me, what is wrong with that? And again, I don't see how this won't work against someone who has little or no training. Even someone with some training, I think this will work. The idea here is not to grapple, but to be able to get to a more advantageous position or to stand up.

    • @mightymeatmonsta
      @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

      Well don't you think HE pressure tested them? Do you think grapplers are the only ones who do that?

    • @mightymeatmonsta
      @mightymeatmonsta 6 років тому

      Again,why? It isn't made for the ring, it's made for the streets.

    Everyone's natural instinct is to put there hands on the ground to stop themselves from hitting their face into the ground.

    This is clearly an attempt at BJJ, and not Win Chun. Win Chun does have it's practicalities, but don't take from other arts and still call it Win Chun.

    Too many missed details. Zero control of oponents body. One stripe BJJ white belt would choke him out with this so called "mount escape". He simply asks for being triangle choked.

    Sorry to burst You guys bubble but...a Lot of these Moves are mechanicaly wrong...the sweep he's trying to apply is really hard to do if the person is with posture and has a free hand to base, to sweep like this efficiently You need the opponents weight ontop of Youvopen guard is all about the hips not only the legs, this guy stays flat on his back for too long...and i don't Even want to Start with his punching DEFENSES, theres 2 options when it comes to defendíng strikes on the floor...either You want he persón far away or very very close, this guy is keeping the opponent at mid Range, very Bad idea...also i'm the mount, why would You trap your own hand between his legs, if he postures down or clamps his legs your screwed! Best Bet is to hold on tigh and start shrimping out...if anybody wants a more specific breakdown of correcto ground tecnhniques i'm always pleased to help guys

      not to mention being that set up for a triangle and not doing it... even worrying about someone who is not past your hips is madness, it makes me sad :)

      SkemeKOS i love how you are claiming standard judo techniques are BJJ techniques.....
      i love how you're claiming standard traditional juujutsu techniques are BJJ techniques......
      i love how you're claiming standard Fujian GouQuan/DiShuQuan techniques are BJJ techniques.....
      i love how you're claiming standard Shaolin DiTangQuan techniques are BJJ techniques......
      so who is the 'thief' now?

    • @Jon-ov4nc
      @Jon-ov4nc 6 років тому

      john decoteau thats because its a stupid technique that doesnt actually 'work', it only 'works' in the ring with rules protect your groin. on the street you can only use variations of the triangle (which he is not readily set up for) that dont leave your groin so exposed.....

    • @Jon-ov4nc
      @Jon-ov4nc 6 років тому

      popasmuerf ive never made any such claims, i criticised one pretty stupid technique as far as self defence is concerned.... and i stated that ground fighting isnt new or unique. ive trained in many styles of martial arts like boxing, judo, kung fu... just saying it how it is...
      a punch looks no different coming from someone trained in boxing or muay thai compared to someone trained in kung fu or karate. there are many traditional martial artists in competitve fighting so your point is invalid anyway.
