Thank you for showcasing my Legion Lockdown Pixie deck! This was my first initial build when I climbed and i've toyed around with switching Nightcrawler for She-Hulk for alittle more power. It's a good deck and I hope everyone who likes Pixie is able to give it a try!
Although I agree with conclusion of worth buying I also feel like the monthly pass this time around is junk value overall. Gold is close to useless ATM, we already got free variants of the same cards (iron man and magneto), so basically left with 300 credits + hope summers for 10USD. I expect more from a monthly pass than that.
I was thinking about Gold and how I dont use it as much anymore but sort of realized it's use case now with the Albums. For example, just earlier I had 2 Jim Lee variants in my shop which was what I needed to hit the 2nd tier reward from the Album which gave me 2000 tokens. Some tier 2s give 2000 credits and some give you a Spotlight key. So using Gold to fill those albums, at least to the 2nd tier seems to be a pretty good way to get something out of the Gold. Plus 10 variant purchases gives you 2k tokens and a premium variant.
I played a deck with Pixie,in a bast/monkey deck, MMM included. So,if you don't have MMM early don't play pixie,still can do regular monkey plays,mysterio,bishop,kitty,wasp,valk,ironman. It is quite consistent,because with MMM,worst case scenario you play monkey playline,even if pixie screwed up the stats,MMM counter the negative side.
I think that's the key play with Pixie. Don't immediately use her (depending on the deck I guess) but make sure you have the safety net of MMM or even Loki.
What I like about Pixie is basically what you say. it isn't core. You can't be as greedy as you get with Negative, so you aren't just dead if you don't draw her. I wouldn't recommend her either unless you need MMM and Spiderham as well, but if she's your random pull in another week, I'd say you should be happy. If she was S4, I think she'd be worth 3K tokens if you want fun, and aren't hurting for tokens.
I blasted to infinite with a variation of that Silky Smooth/Kitty Hope deck going around. Yeah she's a really good card. I also recommend getting the season pass. Pixie isnt as good, but she is really fun. Makes High Evo actually fun to play imo. you dont have to even run Magik if you run Hope too. Its frustrating though that shuffled cards an get their own costs assigned back with pixie. I was running a monkey/bishop deck with Valkyrie and 3 games in a row she was assigned her same 5 cost. It felt really bad lol.
How good is mobius really when you're running Jane and a bunch of 0 costs like wasp and yellowjacket, especially without Lockjaw? Let's say you get the perfect playline with Pixie on t2, Mobius on t3, BRB on t4, Jane in hand, Thor played for basically free on one of these turns(bc of pixie), AND wasp & yellowjacket aren't drawn by turn 5; your handsize could be an issue on t5 because you can potentially pull up to six 0 costs into your hand for turn 6 (two hammers, wasp & yellowjacket (*kept at 0 bc of mobius*) and the other two cards that got swapped into 0s by pixie). This means when you play Jane on t5 to pull all your 0 costs, you might pull a wasp or yellowjacket instead of say a 0 cost arnim or panther since your hand might be too big to pull all the 0 costs cards.
Hope Summers is not that hard to nerf: 1st nerf: 3/4 get +1 Energy. (once per turn) -like Lockjaw only 1st card active her ability. 2nd nerf (last): 4/5 get +1 Energy. (once per turn) -when most players have her, or she about to drop series or make place for new Card to shine.
My worry with Hope is that they nerf her along the lines of what they did with lockjaw, like limiting her to only be able to proc once per turn (like only one card will work resulting in just one additional mana the following turn) or maybe even only work the turn after she’s played. I dunno man, I just have zero trust in SD at this point.
I kind of disagree with Pixie. I've had a lot of success running her in an HE deck, and it's pretty insane how high her cube rate just solely based on how random she is, unlike Negative where you know what to expect. Pretty fun card and imo pretty competitive.
Man, I'm so glad Pixie sucks because I wasted 4 keys last week just to get Proxima and Daken (already had MODOK and got a duplicate for the 4th random card). Kinda low roll of a week but I am now Rank 85 with traditional Discard
This is the first season pass I’m not sure about. The variants are for cards I have sick ones of already, and the rest is kinda meh. Only thing is Hope. Wish it could be discounted for just the card!
I still play but it is less than before since I'm not streaming as much. Haven't been streaming just cause at first it was hard to do both UA-cam and Streaming consistently and that compounded in itself to not be worth as much to stream when you don't stream consistently. Now I've kinda gotten used to not streaming a bit but I would like to streaming again from time to time. We'll see I guess.
Hope Summers will be nerfed same way as any other card did in a past! You want to know how? She will give ONLY +1 energy for first card played on top of her per turn. It’s obvious. Same as Lockjaw

Yeah we just had a magneto variant (which was better imo). The iron man one is good but most players have a variant for him by now

I just want to add that the Spider-Ham variant has one of the simplest but imo best implemented animations in the game lol.

The fact there's a chance that playing Pixie does absolutely nothing makes it a bad card imo.
