I'm a volunteer firefighter and I have climbed on roofs of houses and some buildings before, but I don't know if I would be able to climb those high buildings in the city with smoke constantly blowing in my face and with all that heavy gear. I can't imagine what it's like in the summer months. Give thanks to our New York City firefighters! They are definitely New York's bravest.
FDNY Firefighters are a special breed man lol😉
Thank you very much 👍🌹👨🚒
@@JakeW26 LOL yes they are!
My educated guess is that if you are a volunteer fireman, you would do anything to save the lives of others. Don't underestimate yourself and thank you for your brave service!!
Being well trained, working with well trained brothers in front and behind you is not necessary being brave. It takes a special breed to do the job. I’m sure you would be right along them after a few hundred runs in a year or two
This parking in front of hydrants is out of control in NYC.
It happens all the time they don't care as long as they got a parking spot
The police wrote him up a ticket that's about a $100.00 or more
The Mayor’s problem that is not being addressed !
that's an issue we simply don't have as we don't have any above ground hydrants on the sidewalk which someone could potentially block
The cops should tow those vehicles to an impound lot, and hit the owners with a $1000. fine for obstructing FDNY operations.
Democrats!
They should've bust the windows out of that car that's parked in front of a fire hydrant and ran the hose through to teach that driver a lesson.
Not necessary unless the middle part of the vehicle is aligned to allow for a hose pass through. Driver is likely getting a pair of traffic tickets totaling nearly $2000 (parking in front of a hydrant $300, Interference with an emergency vehicle $1500) After the fire the vehicle gets towed away for about $400 plus $200 daily storage charges at the impound yard located nearly a hundred miles out of the city. Don't worry this driver is going to feel the sting......at least that's how it works in my city.
Busting the windows is the last resort in some cases it can be the command officers decision
Needs to be a ticket and interfering charges being this was an actual 2 alarm fire.
@@kbtechandmedia People in that neighborhood probably don't care. Sad :(
@@jameshack485 They don't till this day when i go to that discount store cars are always parked in front of that same hydrant.
Great job! The overhead footage from the adjoining building showing the roof operations was outstanding. Thanks!
rare to see it, can understand why the ladder was angled that way from that angle. plus guys close enough to grab a member but far enough away for clearance
Looks like getting to the fire scene is as difficult as getting to the burning fire. Everyday heroes who would probable say they're just doing their job. Thank you for all you do.
As always great command and coordination to a quick comprehensive extinguishment by best of the best FDNY firefighters!
I hope that was a nice and spicy ticket for New Mexico there! As if FDNY doesn't have enough on their plates. Great work and great video!
Amazing people these firefighters. Some of America’s very best. God bless and protect them all.
It's ashame because I feel like they don't get enough credit or recognition for what they do. It's an extremely risky job and it takes a special person to put their life on the line to save others. People don't think about firefighters until they actually are in a situation where they need them. God bless them for always being there for us! 🇺🇲🧑🏻🚒🚒
Definitely not! They are brilliant alongside our Fire and rescue in the UK.peace and love to you all xx
Great footage. I hope everyone got out ok.
Just started watching. That's a truck crew who knows their trade!
Absolutely fantastic footage of the ventilation operation.
Great work, brothers!
I cannot forget the crew on the interior. Yes. That's how it's done.
The FDNY has some of the best trained and most aggressive (in firefighting terms) personnel in the US. They fight thousands of fires a year, each one just a little different from the next. Takes alot of courage and dedication.
Reminds me of a fatal house fire we had in Germany: last night, Ted Herold a.k.a. Harald Schubring and wife died in a house fire in Dortmund - Berghofen. He was dubbed the "German Elvis Presley" R.I.P.
Knockdown so quick!! Bloody well done FDNY!!
Best department in all of America, FDNY pure heroes of the Big Apple.
Very good video. Thank you!
Awesome footage!
Awesome Footage and Coverage!
What a great vid of roof operations. Love the coffin ⚰️ cut.
Holy shit i know where that building is?The light wind we had today didn't help it today .that's on 107th st right off of Third Ave
The landlord of that building's going to have to get somebody up there soon to patch up the roof or else when it rain later this week water's going to be going into apartments.
That building is above a store shop in on the ground floor it's a 99 cent store
Good work FDNY
Great job guys.
Nice work
Been there, done that, FDNY truckies are the best!
The " ENGINE"...Put out the fire... never saw a truckie put out the fire .. I know, 30 yrs in ENGINE FDNY..!! But they try...lol
Just goes to show what a great the FDNY is
That building needs some TLC. Look at the smoke coming out of crevices at 1:03!!!
I saw that. There were quite a few cracks on the front of the building as well.
Great job guys.I am very proud of you.Stay safe and God bless..
Great job bud
Some interesting footage.
Nick, Great Video
Another great job done by the FDNY
Great video angle.Another old brownstone gone.
Hope no one was home or injured..
Great job 👏 firies and camera 👨...
Great video
amazing footage an great video to so low an go
Awesome footage. Idiots parked on hydrants. FDNY kicking ass.
These NYFD are the best in what they do.
great video
Save or perish we said in France. These fire fighters are some of our brotherhood
FDNY, nice knock-down, I'd love to know how safe that left top corner is? That's a fairly big crack, you see fire there are ya worried that corner/cornice isn't safe?
good job brothers
I always said I wanted to first respond an ambulance in NYC for one day, I've changed my mind.
Hell yeah!!!! Spanish Harlem!!!! 43 truck!!!!!
going good, damn that was heavy
Great coverage! What did you do, climb the building like Spider-Man?
Awesome coverage, what camera do you use? Wish those hydrant blockers would be impounded by law. Roofies getting a work out, nice shot of a dangerous job.
I love the videos
That has to be one of scariest fires to battle cause it can collapse to the other floors
Insane how many fires happen in New York.. wow.
The consequences of an old city.
Nice skylight installment. Haha.
Glad to see NYPD ticketing vehicles which block hydrants. I hope the fines are high.
I loved the video
Can you provide some insight as what gear you use to film and what radio you have?
I can't emagine driving through there.
What happens to the owner of the cars blocking the hydrants they get a fine and if so how much? If it was up to me it would be $5000. Pricks!
get a tow truck for the guy on the hydrant.
Saved the building!
Honestly, the work of the firefighters is one of the most difficult jobs. I wish them all to return to their homes and families safely.🙏
Prayers for everyone
Oh darn no broken car windows 🤦 I see they do give out tickets. Hope it's a big fine. Wish they would also tow the cars😱 Excellent job from all the fire fighters 🥰 no way I'm going up that ladder to the roof 😱
Analog radiocommunication...surpising in 2021
I was an ambulance dispatcher for 8 years, using both analogue radio systems and digital, looks like the fire chief and all appliances are on the analogue for speed and the benefit of a small "closed" channel. "AIRWAVE" and other digital systems are awesome but there was a 2 to 3 second delay between paging them, and getting a response with digital. Analogue is fast and dirty but if you need to cut across another transmission in emergency,.....I'd rather have the old school gear .
Glad to see police issuing parking tickets for those blocking hydrants. People just don't care until they are caught breaking the law eh?
That Chief is definitely going to need a fresh battery after all that chatter...
maybe it’s my Bostonian ears but it sounds pretty normal for an aggressive attack where they are trying to prevent spread to the adjacent attached building and the command need to know if they need another alarm and where to put still incoming companies
This is the biz ... water on the fire ... white smoke ...say no more
Seems like 100.00 fine isn't enough, make it hurt their pocket book, am a volunteer fireman, know first hand how long it takes to hook up to a blocked fire hydrant
TYFYS
6:28 *IM SURE THAT WAS FROM A STOLEN BIKE.....* that frame from a specialized bike co is pricey. Awesome footage
I thought that exact same thing!
The only way to put out a fire within the contents of a top floor apartment. Another great job by the FDNY.
The car parked in front of the hydrant got lucky that the windows weren’t knocked out it’s getting ridiculous seeing this on a daily basis
You watch to many movies. 🎥 🍿
@@anthonybressler4404 nope not at all this is happening way to much in all five boroughs just last week they knocked out the rear windows of a land rover FDNY isn’t playing around!!
@@anthonybressler4404 you watch too many movies.
@@dawnm1292 SNOWFLAKES. 😂😂😂😂🥩🥩🥩🥩
@@dawnm1292 They were able to run the hose around just fine. Bunch of drama queens. Get a life.
Герои!
...Now THIS is how you recruit!!!
Looks like they might be giving out some really Hefty parking tickets
Amazing how many cars are blocking hydrants in New York City.
Whats normal hydrant pressures day, evenings night
Oh my god a hell yes
14:12 Thats nice.
Expensive Tickets for those cars. Probably cheaper than breaking their window's to get the hose through
I stand corrected, it's a long time since I wrote 1... but I guess it's $115.00 parking on a hydrant. I thought 165... my mistake
Great footage. Thanks for no Howard Cosell play by play. Let the radio do the talking
This happens to be great footage. And also look at the physical work that's going into venting and opening up the soffit the roof to look for fire, and also vent. Now this just in the day oh, imagine at night time. Say the winds blowing 30 miles an hour with counting rain, or let's say it's snowing. When you jump off the tip of that ladder onto the roof sometimes they're not lined up evenly. Now let's take into consideration the turnout gear the Scott pack and everything else they have to carry with them. And that's just the truck company. The engine company is busting their humps trying to get water on this fire humping up two and a half inch hose to the roof into the fire floor and other areas. But this equipment in men could not access these places without the professional wits and knowledge of all the chauffeurs and pump operators from the truck and engine companies as well. And you have your division company with the chief set help this go in a smoothly orchestrated fashion as well as keeping all of them brothers safe and sound. These guys are truly professionals. What would we do without the FDNY they Ain't Heavy, they're our brothers.
AND THAT IS WHY THEY ARE CALLED THE BRAVEST.
Where in NY is this?
That prius owner should be happy when they get to their car, a car full of ash and water and a ticket
Do you folks not tow cars parked in front of fire hydrants? In my city these cars wouldn't be there for more than 30 minutes without being towed away. That's two hydrants within the same block that have cars parked in front of them. That's ridiculous for heaven's sake.
Usually they're towed and pretty quickly. This one just didn't get caught yet.
Why the satellite was responded?
Hallo from Germany 💘👍 its3 at night at Gera
.....and it's a Fucking Prius too. LOL
What is it with people in New York that they park in front of a fire hydrant.
Actually glad they are getting ticketed
@@kc2zjw The hell with just a ticket car should be towed and impounded plus a 1000$ fine.
@@davidglaum2538 I totally agree 100 percent!
It absolutely blows my mind. I grew up in NYC, you couldn't even sit in the driver's seat with the engine running in front of a hydrant.
I'm just wondering if there happens to be a collapse hope not but if you're going to have the possibility of collapse I don't think you going to have a clear collapse zone for all the fire vehicles because the street is so tight
Do you know how much to pay for the parking violation?
$$165.00..
THAT BUILDING LOOKS LIKE IT'S OVER A 150 YEARS OLD
Someone turned their air conditioning to high.
Parking so close to fire hydrants or fire lanes, deserve tickets!
How much is that ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant? Suspend their drivers' licenses for one year, maybe then people will learn not to do it.
$115
@@bmarchyy I looked up what this ticket costs in San Francisco, and it's $80; way too low here too.
South of E96street. VTL Code 40 $165.00
That roof was rotten!
A police officer was trapped Nick?

in my town 14:30 parking in front of a fire hydrant is prohibited... libtards in a prius... smh
Where exactly is this?
Address is in the description
9 minutes in should have had 3 hoses on roof to make sure fire didnt get by them, not 1 hose !
Why was that firefighter on the roof laying down?
At 11:45 he’s checking to see if there is further fire extension in the cockloft
looks like penndot workers, 99 guys standing around , 1 actually working
Hrm guess you can’t really see the 50 guys in the building
