    Coach kishane is the first male sprinter since Usain Bolt that i am so excited about. For an athlete to start training so late in the season and do what he did speaks volumes. Many people are not looking closely at what he did and how easy he made it look.
    The amount of speed he have he doesn't know how to control it yet. And based on what franno said they are going to work on some finer details for the next 3 weeks so with that said we are in for more treat . What we got from him at trials is just an appetizer the main course is yet to be served. When the reporter asked franno in an interview last week what time he thought kishane would have ran if he had ran through the line and he said 9.69 or 9.70 there about.
    He doesn't like to talk about times but when you hear him say it and the athlete he said it about you know that athlete is special.

      Coach I just watch the podcast with Donovan Bailey and he said something interesting about kishane, He said as far as he saw it Stephen Francis had kishane Thompson training during trials and this is not yet the finished product 😱😱😱 looking back at it you have to agree.
      The host of the podcast had the stats for the strides bolt took running that 9.69 and 9.58 and guess what? He had kishane's stats also and he is right near that pace.🔥🔥🔥

      @Kevin-yq3go. He didn't "start" training late. What Franno said was March was when he could finish the programs or the sets. He's been training all along but not going all out. I'm just clarifying that in case the people who claiming say he's doping use that late training as ammo to justify their nonsense bout doping.

    Some ppl don’t understand sprinting. Bolt was in 9.5 form in Beijing but ran 9.69 slowing down with 20 meters to go. I remembered that 9.72 WR in NY. He ran that race with ease beating Tyson Gay. Nobody expected Bolt to be in 9.5 shape in Beijing. When you are tapered properly, there is no telling what you can run as a sprinter. When Franno tapers Kishane, I have no idea what he will run in Paris but it’s possible he can run a 9.62 in my estimation

      What about asafa that ran wr 9.74 and basically walked across the line.. since u say people don’t know about track n field, why didn’t asafa run anywhere near his pb that he literally j walked across the line? Kishane slowing down somewhat at 90 or 90 meters doesn’t mean he can break Usain Bolt record. Bout people don’t know track n field. I’m sur u wudnt say the same if kishane was from usa 🤣🤣🤣🤣 u wud say Americans are delusions show them asafa 9.74 run how he made it look so easy but never run 9.6 in his life

      9.62? Loool.
      Listen, different things. Bolt split 6.32s in his 9.72s, which showed 9.6s potential with a fast finish.
      Kishane Thompson has shown none of that.
      You guys talk about numbers but don't know your numbers. KT is still very young and time will tell, but to talk about 9.62s now is nonsense. Even 9.6s is nonsense. What he has shown me is that he could go 9.74s or so, I give him that sure.

    What say me? Firstly, big up! You have been telling the world to watch out for Kishane. For true true track people, and i don't mean people who just talk track and field, I'm talking people with the proper eye, research, knowledge and history. They see things that others don't see. I've been going on other platforms and warning people not to crown favorites until Kishane and Oblique run at trials.
    I wanted to see Kishane run and I saw three races in two days and times notwithstanding, i rewatched the races looking for different things about 100 times and after i saw what i saw, i texted someone and said Kishane can challenge Bolt's 9.58s record. That other person did not disagree.
    Ok, what did i see? Many say Kishane didn't shut down at 60m. Well, it may not look that way to the naked eye but between 60m and 70m when he did his check, he stopped accelarating and basically allowed the max speed and momentum to get him through. I also saw that he ran 40% of the race in his drive phase and at about 50 to 60m he took about 4 step and seperated from a 9.82 Seville. Now if you follow the history of the sport there are only a few athletes that I've seen seperate like that mid race. The last being Usain Bolt the other was Donovan Bailey. Why is that important? It tells me that Kishane get to his max velocity later than others but when he get his max, it's so much greater than his competitors that he immediately starts to seperate. It also tells me that when others are decelerating he's still maintaining max speed. In fact i do not think Kishane will decelerate much in a 100m and again I've only seen that with Bolt.
    The reason i say he can challenge the record vs break the record is that i think he will have to try and hit his max velocity atleast 5m+ sooner because if he hits it between 50 to 60m as what it appears now, he won't have enough real estate left to get to 9.58s. In otherwords the race may be over before he hits it. It's a very narrow margin which is why i think he can challenge it with the right conditions etc. I've seen all i need to see but 🤫

      @@sjc3426No I did not run as a pro. In fact I did not run track except for sports day. I played other sports but was always an avid track and field enthusiast as a youth. My knowledge comes from my natural interest and love for the sport and time invested over the years in learning, research and development, analysis and practice. CoachesDesk is one source for good content. I think I agree with CoachesDesk view 90% of the time which is good. Two coaches that I also share philosophies are Stephen Francis and Glen Mills. In my view, they have revolutionized Jamaican track and field and are the primary reason for the sports industry we have today where so many are benefitting despite ineptitude of our administrators. I can go more into this but that's for another time. Hope this helps. 🙂

    Here’s why that WR is crazy talk and I’d be quite surprised. In 2008 Bolt ran 9.76 then, 9.72 and 9.69 at 21/22 years old He later ran 9.58 the following year. Let’s go back to the discussions in September 2009 and all of 2010 in reference to how much faster he would run. Progress is rarely linear.

    • @Yes_I_c4n
      @Yes_I_c4n 3 місяці тому

      Obviously. Everybody has a ceiling. Everybody was talking about Bolt going 9.4s back in the day.
      KT has not shown 9.6s potential yet. His splits are fast, but I don't see 9.6s potential just yet. Will he get there? Maybe...
      At 60m he's still at 6.38s. Could see him going 6.36s. The issue is that 6.36s is not enough to put you at 9.6s, unless you're as fast, top end wise, as TG or UB, which KT has not shown to be, not even remotely close.

The guy has not yet broken into the 9:60s and yet you're talking about the young man running 9:57 or better in the men's 100m. Bolt remains the only athlete that ran sub-9.70 twice: 9:69 and 9:63, both times were Olympic records. In fact, Bolt still holds the Olympic 100m record of 9:63 and of course the World record of 9:58. This isn't about Kerley. It isn't about how Kishane "looks". WHAT DOES THE CLOCK SAY? does it say 9.65 ? No? Then you are NOT a threat for the WR. Point Blank Periodt. @@KoolKaiserhe is right, though. You have to understand that even a 9.69s is a tall, tall order, let alone 9.63 and 9.58s... KT split 6.38+3.39=9.77. Neither of the splits are impressive, meaning 9.6 caliber. Once I see KT going sub 6.35s or sub 3.37s then I'll start considering that he might go 9.69s but even then it won't be easy. Remember that Yohan Blake split 6.33+3.36 for his 9.69s... that's 6.33s at 60 and 3.36s from 60...100m.
      9.63 does not seem attainable at all. That's 6.32+3.31. 6.32 is just how fast Coleman has ever split at 60m (!!), think about it. And only 2 men have ever gone sub 3.35s, those being TG and UB. Let that sink in for a min.
      9.58s is an even greater task. That's 6.31+3.27. Lool.

      @@Yes_I_c4n U all seem to be forgetting he is going off of 2 months of full training! U are speaking as if what u saw was KT at peak, that is your biggest mistake. Before trials even started Franno has said that KT will be MUCH faster leading up to the Olympics. I can tell u right now he is already in 9.69 shape. When Blake ran his it was a one off race and he was peaked. All things equal KT will be the 2nd fastest man alive by end of the season. I never said I agreed with the poster about a WR, though I won't say it can't happen.

    Coach - Franno is ahead of the game (as you said) but only in Jamaica. Lots of clubs in the USA uses the same data and technology so he's not ahead of the game there. Franno is however clearly smarter than just about every coach imo, which is why I think he's getting better success with talent nobody saw coming. All the coaches in JA (except Mills) trying to imitate how Franno works.
    Kishane does look impressive however so the WR could be on the horizon, HOWEVER the gold medal is the focus. World Record would be just Brawta.

    Elaine would have broken the world record the following year if she stayed with franno.
    In the last year with franno he noted he found a treatment that works for her and could finally train her continuously and not just when she was healthy. Her times that year were phenomenon. With a complete seasons training the following year the world record would be a mere formality and and the triple double this year as well.

    No one think 9.58 is a joke but when evidence presents itself you can’t deny it. Bolt ran a 9.76 in 08 at the stadium easy down. Kishane ran a 9.77 easy down. The similarities are there. Look how easy he running 9.82 just as Bolt ran 9.89in In Berlin. Kishane is the first person since Bolt to be running these times with ease. It’s evident he is at least a 9.6 sprinter and with Franno genius, once Thompson improves his start, 9.58 will be under threat.

    Kishane should win and run low 9.7 but this talk of the WR is stupid. There is no data to suggest anybody will hit that 9.58 time - especially raining data which is basically useless. Nobody's running flat out perfect 100m races in training. which is what would be required to say "the data says so". He doesn't have the biomechanical characteristics of somebody that can run 9.58s - even track people don't seem to understand what a freak performance that was and what a biomechanical and physical freak Bolt was - only the sports-science guys seem to get it.

    Sir, control your enthusiasm about Kishane Thompson on world record pace. The guy has not yet broken into the 9:60s and yet you're talking about the young man running 9:57 or better in the men's 100m. Brother, take a breath of fresh and get serious. Your statement is loaded with disrespect for Usain Bolt and his record breaking 100m feats. Clearly you seem to think that Bolt's 9:58 is a time that can be easily broken. If you think so, you certainly don't understand the history behind that time. Before setting the world record of 9:58 in the 100m in 2009, Bolt established the Olympic record at the 2008 of Olympics by running 9:69 in the men's 100m final. Bolt remains the only athlete that ran sub-9.70 twice: 9:69 and 9:63, both times were Olympic records. In fact, Bolt still holds the Olympic 100m record of 9:63 and of course the World record of 9:58. I respectfully suggest you rethink your position about Kishane Thompson breaking Bolt's insane World record of 9:58 in the men's 100m.

    • @KoolKaiser
      @KoolKaiser 3 місяці тому

      Idiotic comment for one simple reason; it is a FACT that had Bolt ran through the line in that 9.69 run he would have ran faster than 9.58. Several studies were done to prove this. So that entire paragraph u wrote was baseless. Bolt ran the 100m for the first time as a pro on Jul 18 2007 and ran 10.03, it took him only ONE YEAR to run the iconic 9.69 where he celebrated before the line. So if you think Bolt had to run 9.6 high before he could go sub 9.6 you are incorrect. I would not gamble on KT breaking the WR but ur reasoning is trash.

    • @waynelovell5198
      @waynelovell5198 3 місяці тому

      @@KoolKaiser The important point that I am making is that the presenter is suggesting, which you agree with, is that young Kishane Thompson will jump from running 9:77 to 9:57 or better in the 100m without running times in the 9:60s. That argument I cannot support and I am sure that the great Stephen Francis would never agree with the position either of you are suggesting. Bolt's progression in the 100m was extraordinary and it cannot be easily broken by any athlete with just one good performance. Bolt ran 9:72 to break Asafa Powell's world record of 9:74 set in 2007. He lowered the mark in the 2008 Olympics to 9:69. In the 2009 World Championship he set the current world record of 9:58 and he established the Olympic record by running 9:63 at the 2012 Olympics. Bolt combine two attributes that are unique only to him in his record breaking 100m results: Peak Performance time 9:58 and his High Performance time Range 9:63 and 9:69. Just facts.
