My Windswept Scots Pine, The Bonsai Zone, Dec 2023

- I'm pruning my unusual windswept mountain top style Scots Pine. The tree is planted in a handmade pot by Shany from Quebec Canada and I'm trying to match the style of the tree with the pot.
Today's updates are the Osage Orange tree forest, the Porsche 911, the James Jades and my Joey Juniper.

Had to watch this video twice...Really like where this going...Really nice and a great narrative to boot...Excellent wind-swept Juniper...Thanks Nigel...
Imagining a racoon living its best life in that old 911 just made my day :D
How nice to be able to see you work on your trees and see the Porsche in the garage.
Amazing pot. Cheers from Ojai California
What a cool car! Great project for the both of you! Great Scot! sss pine.... Hee hee... I like that forest as well.
Awesome tree mate, recently found your channel and I’m watching loads of your vids at the moment 😂
It's an unusual pine, but definitely unique and interesting!
Indeed!
That pot is incredible!
👍👌👌
It's very beautiful! Yes, unique 😊
I love this tree. The branch that covers the trunk would look great as a deadwood feature.
What great teamwork on the Porsche!!!
And teaching yourselves to weld together... You're an awesome father Sir Nigel!!!
🥰🥰👍
Nice job on the scotspinewillmake
Beautiful bonsai one day thanks mate
One day you should do a video of your hair styling; what thought process you go through etc like you do the bonsai. lol
Nigel please make a video about lemon tree bonsai!
I don’t know how I’ve never seen this pine before. It’s very nice with that pot.
i have a scotts pine too, it has also some wierd branches, had no idea what to do with it... now u bring me on good ideas for a reshape! thanks Nigel🙌
Cool to she you and julian is working on that porsche. If you want any tips and tricks. I have a alot of knowledge from working on cars. Welding and everything. Beside bonsai. Thats my life and work for 2 decades soon
Hiyo!!!!🎉
Nice work on the SP. Forest was cool. Nice and natural. The Joey J. is super cool. Nice flow. Hard work getting the car into the garage, but, you all worked as a team to get it into the garage.
Your pines are my favorites!
The angle at 10:08 looks really cool to me..
Tree looks very good. Have to admit I have love-hate relation to that pot. However, I think you found a way this "weird" pot resonate with the pine shaped in a little extra-ordinaire style.
I love the image you have created, both the pine and the pot go together beautifully.most would get out the wire which you don’t use wether it would look better wired I think it probably would, but it your method. The juniper is looking good now and will as you say be for the future.
This planting reminded me of your dragon bonsai pot. How is it coming along? Do dragons hibernate for the winter and come out in warmer weather? Love this pot and planting !!!🐉🐉🐉
Nigel, have you considered doing a video on what you have learned about managing a small greenhouse now that you have a couple years experience with you new one? I would be especially interested how you deal with the very wide temperature ranges that can occur in both winter and still allow your trees to maintain dormancy in winter. Thanks
Rules are meant to be broken!
Speaking of unique pots, any updates on your dragon pot??
Absolutely. Reminded me of his pot.
Looking at your Pine pot reminded me of your Dragon Pot what happened with it?
I thought you might mention the option of wiring the Scot’s Pine. I believe many would make use of some wire.
Nigel only uses clip and grow, I don't think he's the person to turn to for wiring techniques 😅
Hi Nigel, where do you find all the unusual rocks that you use to plant your trees on? Like the one your windswept scott pine is planted on... any information you could share would be very useful for a newbie like myself. Thanks
Marmite pine,
Foist
Very good Scot!!!
@@dubsydabster the original foster hey Dubsy!!
Definitely not foist..😂😂
🍪
I think I may have tied you for that first place! 😳
Just my opinion is that branch look just bad you cant see the tree.
