This tutorial is a bit of a double feature! You get to watch a fun short film we made called When Pigs Fly, and then afterward I take you through my 4 epic VFX tips for how we accomplished the effects in Fusion!

Yes, Please go through how to make that node tree.
The answer would be like" Take my course lessons" and gimme your money for nothing.
Please
More VFX tuts pls Casey.
I have a tip for all the new Fusion users. Highlight a node on the Fusion tree and hit F1; it will open the users manual to the page for that particular node.
legend!
That last tip was pretty gold.
I would definitely love to see the whole node tree build. Specifically, the section about using and creating the matte and the saver etc.
Cheers
Kieron
Yes, please explain the composition in more detail. Great and valuable tips in this video, thanks.
I would love a series of videos, going over each node, how each node can be used, and some examples of using those nodes with other nodes.
Ah~ now I get it. Your youtube tutorials are actually extened versions of the FZ2H course (this is the one you briefly talked about in the usd exercise we did). I love it! This alone is very helpful at a professional level but with the course this is a tremendous boost.
The fact you have multiple media outs to use in the color page is just mind blowing!
Can you please make a tutorial about mask transitions using fusion ?... I still can't figure out how to do that. Thank you for the value you're providing!
Love these tips. Especially using the LUT viewer in Fusion, and the second MediaOutput node for use in the Color page.
And yes, I second the request to watch you build this scene.
Love the video Casey ❤️ would love too see a walkthrough of the whole thing. What did you guys use to make the explosion?
4:15 there's a much easier and accurate way to do this.
Go to Edit mode, select the scene you want to work on in Fusion, right click "Create LUT".
Then load the lut in the Fusion viewer. It will look EXACTLY like your color managed + graded view.
Fantastic content Casey, as always!
That media out tip is extremely useful thanks 😍
Thanks for talking about the color space transforms. I just got a camera that can shoot in log and I was fretting about this part because I knew Fusion happens before Color. As always a really great explanation and helpful tips. Thanks Casey!
Yes! Finally, that's what we've been waiting for
Amazing video, such a great mix of humor, high production, and rich technical
Yes you made an update, This will be epic.
That’s a hilarious short, love it. Love that dude
Thanks for this tutorial! I have bought your course, keep up your work!!
Your VFX tuts rock dude! For sure, make a in-depth node tut for us. Thx
Yees, please go deeper into the project, its so interesting!
Hell yeah drop a more in depth video please man! i love your vids, found you not too long ago and currently working my way through every video you have. you are very easy to understand and put across the material in a fun learning way, your work is excellent my man keep it up!
Really good info. Thank you!
I would love a full tutorial on how to make an explosion❤
Definitely gonna be exporting my masks. Those saver and loaders make it look real quick, I used to import through the media page each time, then drag into fusion, which was a very annoying process. I'd love to see more in depth. Great explaining as always.
This clip is a real wow clip. I would truly appreciate it if you would delve deeper into the fusion and matte matter and share your knowledge with us.
Casey PLEASE do a whole Tutorial video about different Camera Footages Log profiles etc that would be great. How to know with what footage youre working and how to get the best out of it..
I would love a separate video walking through the node tree for the VFX comp!
I would love to see a full walkthrough!
Really nice vid, pls go throught this edit
Colour space and that kind of thing is a weakness of mine, since I'm always working with game footage.
Complex node trees though - I'm always getting into those, and always looking to learn more tricks there. Would love to see the tree behind this one.
Yes a Walk thru, PLEASE!!!
absolutely explain the whole thing in detail, even a great masking video with these masks, great tips < J
Epic.
More detail yes please!
Show us the whole process pretty please Casey. And maybe your thoughts as well
Hu! I have just finished my first slideshow in Davinci, I'll come back in a year.
Yes please explain in detail. :)
I think soon, we're about to have an Andrew Kramer, for the Fusion page, hey Dr Fusion, keep pushing this guy.
I thought space pigs were square so you could stack them easier on yer spaceship. Would love to see the whole process in more detail. Keep up the good work.
Light years ahead of me right now!!
Great tutorial as usual! but can you please let us know what the project main color management settings are at the beginning of each video
Full walk through!
My days in UA-cam Poop has prepared me for this,
Thank you for this tutorial.
I'd like a video about this composition and more tips
I've looked thru the list of nodes and can't find a SpacePigIn1 node, so I think a full node tree video would be helpful. Thanks.
YEEEES THANK YOU CASEY!!!! I'm at work so I can't watch it yet but I really wanted this video from you! Thank you very much haha 👊🏻😆
EDIT: Please make a full on tutorial on how you did this! Really enjoyed the video. And also the fact you can have 2 media outs or more so you can grade them separetly is insane!!
Plzz make a tutorial of how to edit like Dave Ardito
Hi Casey. For the log/ Color grade problem, wouldn’t it be easier to convert your clip to a fusion clip? That way you can Color grade your clips and work with graded clips in fusion?
Yes!! please this is the subject that is not taught enough. Dry but funny BTW
can you make video on how to make glowing veins and subsurface skin in fusion ?
We want the full walkthrough on this and please create more Vfx tutorial I am tired to see the gfx tutorials
I need a strong coffee LoL. :))
We need a color management video.
I wish RCM would work in fusions
Video working in linear space.
Space bacon! 🥓
very enjoyable. Q. Is there a way to put comments in the fusion node area. I use underlays for very basic reminders. DR it would be great to have MS exel style comments.
i believe there is a notepad node, like a sticky note kinda thing, im new at it so cant remember it off hand
@@a77mighty666 Yes found it. Thanks
Hey Casey. Couldn’t you Color grade first, make a compound clip and then connect a Color corrector node on the imported clip?
I mean yes, but you would be degrading the quality a bit. Not the most ideal way to do it
Yep

Is fusion is as good for VFX as blender ?
I was expecting wiener hijinks and I got ham wackiness.
Lol
Plzz make a tutorial of how to edit like Dave Ardito
