Honestly, how does this not have a million view? It's one of the most chill and relaxing groves I have encountered. It's like a relaxing but foot tapping trance. Donovan, good on you man. I'm in Toronto, which is irrelevant, but man... you are an artist without a doubt. Thumbs up dude!
Just saw you open up for Matt Anderson, and dude, you were amazing. You also had the whole audience laughing in between songs which was a great bonus. Rock on dude, thanks for stopping by lil' old Burlington ! Cheers
I am just discovering this amazing talent. I loved "Put on Cologne" and it wasn't until I heard this song on CBC that I decided to look up his discography. Imagine my happy surprise to see he's been in the game for so many years. I'm looking to pick up his works on vinyl starting with his first record. Any hints in that direction would be appreciated. I'm not having the best luck!
Donovan Woods wow, not only did you respond with the chords but also obliged my request to play Calgary FolkFest! Awesome to meet you after the workshop with Foy Vance. Can't wait to see you again.
same I enjoy the tune, but i dont eally get it either. Especially the part when he's like "no one talks about you, everything is exactly the same", pretty douchey, like is the whole song just him dramatically pressuring her to come to his? ew
What a song the story telling is beautiful. Donovan Woods 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Watched your videos for the first time tonight. Found you through The Minimalist. I’ve spent the last hour watching your videos. Beautiful!!
Love your voice! Soulful. Takes me home
Such an incredible songwriter. Please come to Portland

Came straight from love island, poor lucie
Beautiful song,!!!
Does anyone knows the name of the lady who does the backing vocals?
Her name is Robyn Dell'unto, Amazing vocalist, songwriter and producer in her own right.
Great song! I would like the vocals to be more forward in the mix but the musicianship is amazing!
Is anyone able to post the chords please?
+Donovan Woods Wow, pretty cool of you to take the time to pass them on. Please play Calgary Folk Fest next summer! Thanks.

+Ian Sharpe. Yes it is her. She was my student at Canad a film Centres Slaight Music Residency and is now my friend.
I like this but it sounds a LOT like Josh Rouse.
not a bad song but I'm really confused by the lyrics here to be honest
I think he's talking about the early stages of a relationship when his girlfriend doesn't spend every night at his place. This is a great tune. :)
I think he's talking about dealing with his girlfriend's insecurities.
same I enjoy the tune, but i dont eally get it either. Especially the part when he's like "no one talks about you, everything is exactly the same", pretty douchey, like is the whole song just him dramatically pressuring her to come to his? ew
Stop whispering at the mic..
Deadly Kitty Cat fuck off
Someone wants to be John Mayer. This sucks.
You are clearly an idiot.
He sucks. Get over it. He's also a major arsehole.
You're hazy alright
