Thanks! Leslie had been attempting to back up his record run. I think he dipped down to a 5.16ET. I think on that run it might have been good just to let it go and not become the wall magnet lol. It seemed that so many cars no matter the category were running career best and right on the edge.
Our local Dragstrip might be closing this season and I was so hoping we could get alot of the locals with all types of Rods and street machines and track only cars to come help keep the track open but it looks like it didnt work out. We wanted so badly to get a gasser weekend race and stick shift only weekend race etc. Besides the Corvette and Mustsng weeekends and the Bike week drags during Sturgis....since thats where the track is....but I haven't heard anything new since it was announced it would be closing ???? So sad.
SEGA doesn't show the times for various reasons but one being that the times weren't always displayed at tracks in the 60s. They're imitating that time-frame. Even doing so by running venues that match. The win-light is what matters though. You're getting what you'd get if you were at the event. I can tell you that Leslie Horne as the number one qualifier ran a 5.16ET.
Of the tracks they race at this year the only NHRA sanctioned track is Kil-Kare. The other tracks are IHRA and WDRA. Their 2024 schedule linked below. www.southeastgassers.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=534589&module_id=548396
Great coverage Lee! I hope you will be able to make it to more SEGA races this year.
I hope so too! Just all depends on schedule.
I talked to some Southeast Gasser guys at the PRO event at Bradenton. Good luck to those guys and their Pontiac project.
Great stuff. Thanks Quain for all you did to bring back 1967 racing.
Such a cool movement within the nostalgia drag racing scene.
Great video! That Chick Magnet bye run after the sun went down was sketchy...he didn't back out of it!

@@MondayMorningRacer for sure, it seemed like everyone was on the ragged edge...sure was fun to watch!
Thanks!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching along.
Fun stuff! I'll admit it, I love the "back up" girls! Lol!
They are a classy group that performs those duties with SEGA.
Love this kind of racing keep up the good work guys
Some the best drag racing that there is for sure.
I was going to go watch but i ended up not being able to make it. I'm so glad you covered it here, Thanks Man.
Bummer you couldn't make it! Glad you got to catch A/Gas action right here. You can see more on Hot Rod Hoarder's video as well.
A humble winner that's awesome. Congrats.

That's cool show more
In the past I covered every category. Covering A/Gas alone fits better for my coverage aims. Thanks for watching.
good sound
GASSERS ARE BACK IN 1984!!!!
Sonfenomenales❤
1/4 mile?
Does Moonshiner Josh still race?
Occasionally. I believe I heard it rumored he'd be at the Shadyside race this weekend.
@@MondayMorningRacer Thanks for the reply. Josh is quite the character...lol.
👍👍👍
Chevrolets are king!! Soo many badass Chevys!😍😍🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪💪💪Great video! Keep it up for these boys!
Well tap the brakes a bit. Last year's champion was a Ford.
Gmc are boring!
Are these tracks NHRA sanctioned tracks❓❓❓

👍
Fuel cars are in trouble. The old gassers may need to fill the gap.
The gassers are great! How is that "fuel cars are in trouble"?
Too many Chevys & Fords....What about that 69 "Nash"? Mad respect of it has an AMC motor in it.....
