I’ve never been an opera fan but from the first time I heard Andrea Bocelli I thoroughly enjoy his singing. God has given him a special gift that he has shared with the world.
It is impossible to describe this man in ordinary language because he is not ordinary. He is the most fantastic artist with his singing, is an awesome family man, a generous man with various contributions all over the world, and most importantly, a devout believer in God. I am so thankful he lives in the same times as I, so that I have had the privilege to hear him. I would like to say one thing about this presentation, however. His first wife and two sons were mentioned, but there was no recognition of his wife, Veronica and his daughter, Virginia, who occasionally appears with him on stage exhibiting her lovely voice at a young age. They are a very important part of his life, along with his sons.
That's because no one ever mentions his first wife, though, later in his life, his sons were mentioned when they began singing with him. We all know of his new family. But it was remiss not to mention the family that bolstered and lived through his rejection and rise to fame.

No question Pavarotti was exceptional, The Three Tenors terrific, Leontyne Price, Maria Callas, etc. all wonderful, but no one impacts my emotions like Bocelli. He is in a class of his own.
Pity he doesn't affect your emotions too! There is no such verb in English! "Has an impact on" or "affect", take your pick! Word-salad otherwise!

I know that many Opera purists reject Bocelli as a legitimate tenor seeing as he utilizes what is known as “mixed voice” in his upper register rather than full chest voice as do most tenors BUT he is my favorite singer and has been for decades. I hate going to concerts and haven’t been to many but the two I have gone to were his. Love this man’s voice.
The most beautiful voice I have heard so far..I used to dislike Opera..until…I heard Andrea Bocelli..I fell in love.Such a beautiful soul..love him and his beautiful family 💖

It's difficult to choose one singer over another, sometimes, because they all have their strengths. Pavarotti can hold a note longer than most, and his voice is deep and strong. It makes me happy to know of the connection between Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli. As for Bocelli, imo, his voice is strong also; but it ....is...... what I perceive as, 'angelic.' That is soul touching. (chill bumps) --- Respect and love from the USA. -- Omgoodness, the concert in NYC, PBS 3 singing 'Nessun Dorma' was a rock star performance!
He is amazing he has learned to overcome his trial in life with his eyes and bring the world the most beautiful music ever thank you Andrea.

I'm sure his blindness kept him humble and stronger so he could use that power for his voice. Besides, it shows how someone with such a handicap can use it positively.
He lost his sight playing soccer. So he knows what the earth looks like. Probably why he took up so many instruments. Singers who play music are always more exceptional. Finer extrasensory perception enables him to push those vocal limits and time.

When I first heard Andrea I was a nobody from literally no where (a small town in the desert) I had gone two hours away to the nearest mall where they had samples of Romonza was playing. I fell in love with it and had to have it. Everyone I knew thought I was crazy for getting music that wasn’t all in English but I’d listen for hours. I have never liked screechy opera but listening to him is like the feel of silk to my ears. Just so soothing and enjoyable.
The first time I heard him I cried and my family thought I was nuts. That was well over 10 years ago and I still cry when I listen to him sing. It doesn't matter if it's in English or not, it moves me to tears! It's on my bucket list to hear him live.

One day I will see Andrea Bocelli live and I will feel every note he makes deep in my soul, then I will be truly happy.
In 1998, when I was about to turn 48, my daughter, 23, surprised me and my husband, with tickets to see a live outdoor gala event in Toronto to see Andrea Bocelli as a birthday surprise! She and I took the train in and spent the afternoon together shopping and then later we met up with her lovely boyfriend and my husband when they finished work. It was one of the most special events in my lifetime!! We all sat on the grounds, wherever there was room - and I listened to a heavenly voice all evening !!❤🥰 It was one of the most lovely days I have ever spent! She is gone from my life now, and all I have are the memories she left.

That night, as we sat there listening to Bocelli, I “felt every note deep into my soul”. I once saw Liberace in person, in 1972, and was able to have a seat up close! I thought he looked fantastic, and I liked the music he played, but I wasn’t prepared for his dynamic physical charisma!, that was at the heart of his music! Seeing live performances almost demands that the “listener” give their souls up to the music. That is why I decided to introduce my son and daughter, from young on, to Live Shakespeare, Live Opera, Live Broadway - MUSIC !! Hope you can get your dream one day - I think it is worth it! I saw him in December of 2021 in Detroit Michigan and it truly was the best concert I have ever been to,he also brought and sang hallelujah with his beautiful daughter Virginia,it was so magical and I wait for the day when I can see him again!!!! God has definitely blessed this man and given him the most angelic voice I have ever heard!!!!!

When the Bellagio Hotel opened in Las Vegas, the tv ads for the opening were playing all the time, every day and the music behind the talking of the hotel was "Con te Partiro" I fell in love with the music and then later when Andrea was selling his first cd, I saw the ad on tv and sent off for it, because they were playing "Con te Partiro" again as back ground. From then on I've been a fan.

I used to listen to a lot of opera in my younger days and loved every minute of it, regardless if I understood the language or not, because of my love for opera I could understand the story itself. Andrea Bocelli is still the greatest living opera singer of our time and I will always love him for being such an incredible inspiration to the world and to me especially. His children, Matteo and Virginia are following beautifully in Andrea's foot steps. Andrea must be very proud of them. Matteo is an awesome entertainer just like Andrea. Virginia is a beautiful little girl and extremely talented and is fearless in front of the audience. The entire family is awesome and I love them all. ❤️

I've loved Music more than food for as long as I remember. Until I turned 13 I was only allowed to listen to Classical & Opera. Then in early 1964, the BEATLES arrived and I begged & pleaded to see them on Ed Sullivan and the old man gave in! Hallelujah! Then that Christmas I got my wish for a transister Radio so I was able to listen to anything I wanted FINALLY!
I've been blessed to see him in concert twice!! Always more than I ever expected 💓. Love this man and his contributions to mankind ❣️
I would like to meet him someday and thank him for developing his God-given talents. The way he performs is wonderful. His whole being communicates to me a humble heart and that he loves to sing. I was luck enough to see him in concert nightly. Trump Taj Mahal and the piano bar was across from the restaurant I was running and was given tickets to see him at the Taj years later for my birthday gift. I sat with an older Italian lady and we cried the entire concert. Trump opened the show with a champagne toast. I have the program framed and hanging as I was a musician years ago and dad was a great tenor himself. Would pay any amount of money to see him again. His kids are super talented, too.

MAN! The critics, even in this documentary need to take their heads outta their arses, they're selling him WAYYYY short. Andrea Bocelli is simply the absolute BEST! Are you kidding me. Loved his songs after being rediscovered by David Foster making him more accessible to likes of me w popular music instead of opera classics.
When I first watched his sunset concert in Las Vegas on blueray, I loved his every songs, every notes by the musicians. I could watch it forever.
I’m not one for liking opera, but he brings it to a whole new level to where I can. Also, when working with a student during my special, education, practicum, student name, not given here, I found out that she also liked opera… Especially those high notes. I’m pretty sure the student would love Andrea Bocelli and his high notes, singing, along with them as best you can. I’m going to teach others, Blind. and visually impaired… A better way to live in a world with site. Of course, I don’t mean site thumb from the eyes, but other methods like tactile modes, and using the other senses, more accurately. Do not, by any means, believe the stereotypes of the movie daredevil. That is not how it works, and people who are blind don’t just automatically rewire their brains, so please, do not believe those stereotypes. there are zero types. You must overcome, though, fellow people who are visually impaired or blind. These are what used to be called the Blind, isms, Duchess, rocking the head, poking at the eyes, and other such destructive behaviors, to oneself, and to everybody around you. There are ways to kick these habits out of someone who is blind, originally impaired, and they must be done, so, in order for that person to live a more successful life. I had the eye, poking, of course, and some of the others. However, although they have gone down, I don’t think they’re completely gone yet. Thank you for the video, and I will enjoy. I might also share it with Dr. Shari L Scott, the former coordinator of the Blindness And Low Vision program at Missouri State University.

@ Cherie...there is a young coming to the world's attention you should check out. His name is Dimash. His first intro to the world was in the Chinese show I am Singer 2017. He did 14 totally different songs and at the time was only 22. He is now 28 and getting better all the time. He describes his genre as Neo-classical.
