I also wonder if they can get under the wooden fence. I think turtles are good at digging so vertical barriers that don't go deep into the ground may not be useful anyways...
Lol I’m right there with you mate. Love a late night Bamba bass drop. Although when I’m grumpy as heck the next day the wife has plenty to say 😂 “stop being so moody, you shouldnt stay up so late blah blah blah” it’s not a choice women it can’t wait untill morning ! I must see what master splinter and the boys are up to. I have to hear the big man say “Got em” at least once a week !! 😆
@Bamabass I would be careful with the mesh fence lots of times turtles can climb right over it. You migght need to add a small wooden fence that would only go about 8inchs off the ground that would prevent them from scaling the outer mesh fence. Other than that the new turtle pound is awesome!!!!
My brother and his wife have a backyard full of turtles. Actually they are tarrapens since he lives in the desert southwest. They have the run of the whole yard. Each year baby critters show up. Sit on the back porch and they start coming over to see if you are going to give them some fruit and/or veggies. Shade is important for them in warm weather but during the winter they live in holes they dig for themselves.
Do you need to be concerned with birds coming and snatching them up? I'm about to build an outdoor habitat and I was planning on having some type of coverage.
I don't own turtles, but I'd personally definitely do that, especially if there big birds in your area. Turtles this small could absolutely be a target for any opportunistic birds flying by.
I haven't finished the video yet. But it might be a good idea to put some netting up over the turtle pond. Especially because you have it in the corner. I've had Hawks grab mine when I was out there with them mowing the lawn.
Really wanna see some fishing vids from you, brother. Been watchin for a few years and you and me both know you need to get out there and throw some topwater and get some of them blow ups! Still like the pond vids but nothin like seein some topwater action from you and sometimes Liz.
I so love this pond for the turtles. They are so much fun. I live in state where winter is unforgiving. Its harsh in my state. Hot summers and cold cold winters. Ponds are hard to have. The only turtle that can take a winter in a pond that I could dig would be a eastern painted. They can freeze solid thaw and walk about like nothing happened. They can hatch out in nests over the winter. The next the possibly could make it would be a midland. Fish however not so much. Ponds have to be deep here.
Pour some boiling water or a flamethrower, boiling water is easier but a homemade flamer thrower with a lighter and some hairspray is way more fun. The flamethrower will burn off their wings, makes them a hell of a lot easier to step on
I know you said this is a temp pond for the Ninja turtles, but I think you should add an overflow so you can keep this pond going for other small turtles/fish. And of course if you add an overflow film it. But, then again I am a year behind, so maybe you did. Loved all 3 of these videos and of course the bass pond build was great. What is the maintenance costs of the bass pond? Keep making the videos, good job.
You might want to place a few bricks on one end to make a part of the pond more shallow so that the turtles can easily climb out of the pond but it is a very nice pond!
I'm ready for another topwater frog video. Post a video with clips of the turtles after a few days of them being in the pond. Update on Bonnie and Clyde with the hatch.
Holy cow, about to pass 500k Subs, congrats dude! Your fishing videos are great but I love seeing well done ponds, this one is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve used a squirt bottle with warm/hot water with Dawn dish soap (about a tablespoon or two depending on the size of the squirt bottle to get rid of yellow jackets 🐝 and wasps. Good luck
you should try putting moby in the bass pond and if the other fish chase him put him in the 300 gallon and let him grow a little more like so bama bass can see :D
I love seeing your babies in their new pond and hope to see more of them. I have a medium sized koi pond w lily's and am would like to add a turtle but am concerned about them either eating my lily's or my fishes tails. I have 4 butterfly koi, 3 oranda gold fish and 2 black moors in my pond.
This came together nicely, what camera did you use to get the time lapse video? Im assuming you recorded longer than 30 minutes and thats where many cameras or at least my camera stops at.
Excellent video, as always & that baby girl is adorable. However Those sweet turtle babies need more water ramps & I really loved Liz's reaction about a turtle feast. (It's a fun idea) I hope you removed that nasty hornets nest. Keep up the good work & enjoy your summer.
Would you happen to have a list of the items you purchased for this set up from Lowe’s or Home Depot. I have the exact liner already just trying to figure out what size pump and other items I’m needing to ensure success. Also I wanted to use this as a permanent pond for my 2 turtles so what do I do to make the drain so it doesn’t flood over ?
Let the turtles FEAST 😂😂 I was laughing too hard
They can climb the mesh fence, I had it around my turtle pond, my turtles climbed out, one has been gone for a week.
I also wonder if they can get under the wooden fence. I think turtles are good at digging so vertical barriers that don't go deep into the ground may not be useful anyways...
Sad to hear ones escaped. All though sometimes they burry themselves under mulch etc so maybe it’s still in there just hiding ??? Good luck Joshua
I’d love to see some crayfish added and heck yes on a go pro vid with a turtle
I love their main pond and watched it’s build video and now excited for this one :-)
Crawfish not crayfish😀
@@carsonwalker7611 yabbies not crawfish
Definitely add 🦞crawfish! 😎
Same!!
Let the turtles feast!🐢🐢
Train them like the fish whisperer does his turtles. He hand feeds them and sometimes they’ll come out of the water for it
He has some awesome videos.

Yeah buddy! Happy to see the boys from across the pond with their priorities straight!
Lol I’m right there with you mate. Love a late night Bamba bass drop. @Lbot beenthere ok fine, to make you happy, "so youre that sensitive and technical?"
With COVID 19 being what it is, this has been the highlight of my week.
At least the turtles don't have to worry about social distancing!
Same here! it's about all I do now 😂😊
Get an underwater cam for the turtle pond & dump some crawfish in it
Love your ponds videos one of the best looking pond on You Tube.
Really enjoy watching your backyard pond videos . I'm not a fisherman if you're asking .
Love that new turtle pond!! they have a ton of room now!! good job on that!
Awesome home for these little guys, can't wait to see them grow
The sound of water and slow pace of the turtles is kinda relaxing
@Bamabass I would be careful with the mesh fence lots of times turtles can climb right over it. You migght need to add a small wooden fence that would only go about 8inchs off the ground that would prevent them from scaling the outer mesh fence. Other than that the new turtle pound is awesome!!!!
let em feast!!!!
Did you have to put water treatment in the pond
Love the turtle videos.
Please keep doing pond videos i enjoy them so much
That would be awesome and interesting if the two ponds got connected in the future
Let the turtles FEAST

They look so cute stretching out their little feet.love it
Turtle paradise! They are too cute. 😊
I would really enjoy watching some bass fishing
Wow 1rod and Bama bass uploaded!!
Turtles are pretty good diggers so you may have to put the fence a few inches into the ground - Hope that helps ☺️
how did you care for the pond and turtles over the winter months?
Who else loves every video🐟🐢
I haven't finished the video yet.
But it might be a good idea to put some netting up over the turtle pond. Especially because you have it in the corner.
I've had Hawks grab mine when I was out there with them mowing the lawn.
Thanks for the tip 👍🏻. We have had Herons in the backyard but I haven't seen any hawks yet. We may have to get some netting soon.
I’ve been waiting so long!!!
Beautiful colored turtles.
Can u pls do a video about putting craws in the ninja turtles pond
that might end badly for one of the animals-
Let the feast begin. You should also put crawdads in there or put ranger and bowser in there
Let the turtles 🐢 FEAST!! 🥬🍉🥕🥦
Really wanna see some fishing vids from you, brother. Been watchin for a few years and you and me both know you need to get out there and throw some topwater and get some of them blow ups! Still like the pond vids but nothin like seein some topwater action from you and sometimes Liz.
You’d better let those turtles munch on some good ole garden goods! They will be so very happy and will love you forever!😆
I want these turtles and pond at my house!!❤
great thumbnail with an even better video !
Those are some pretty turtles!
I so love this pond for the turtles. They are so much fun. I live in state where winter is unforgiving. Its harsh in my state. Hot summers and cold cold winters. Ponds are hard to have. Definately more turtle videos! No way back!
Not only I enjoy your content but your accent too. 😁
I’ve been watching it from the beginning ❤
I'm excited to see what you do with Moby. I've been watching that fella for a while now. 👍

Let The Turtles FEAST

Love your content Bama bass! Inspired me to start my own tanks and pond.
Me too.. but it's going to be super micro.. In the U.K
Once you guys move moby into his own pond maybe turn that tank into a community tank with angelfish and schools of tetras!
This is awesome, I want a pond in my backyard. How much did it cost for the big pond?
I love your pet videos, but I enjoy the fishing videos just a bit more. Keep up the good work!
You might want to place a few bricks on one end to make a part of the pond more shallow so that the turtles can easily climb out of the pond but it is a very nice pond!
LET THEM FEAST BAMABASS
Bring back “Tank Tuesdays,” please. That was what brought me to your channel to begin with.
So excited. Cant wait to finish this video. 🐢 ⛲ ❤
I'm ready for another topwater frog video. Post a video with clips of the turtles after a few days of them being in the pond. Update on Bonnie and Clyde with the hatch.
Just so you know, those turtle are fully capable of climbing that meshing fence with their long claws :)
Good luck
Adding a dozen or two crawfish into the turtle pond would be dope
Turtles will eat anything they can just so you know, these turtle videos are awesome to watch keep it up!!!!
I'd like to see that exact set up in my backyard for my own 5 turtles!
Are they too little for the GoPro? Love the videos!
I have been waiting for this🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
you should try putting moby in the bass pond and if the other fish chase him put him in the 300 gallon and let him grow a little more like so bama bass can see :D
Keep the pond videos up I love them and ur channel it’s my favorite I wait for a video every weekend yes ushould put a go pro on the turtles
Can you PLEASE put some small minnows or other small fish in the pond with the 5 turtles!! Would be so cool to see.
Be sure to check that fence every once in a while for the turtles. We used one similar around our garden and caught snakes, birds, & mice in the mesh.
LET EM FEAST
Ya'll get any snow during the winter months down there in Mississippi?
LET THE TURTLES FEAST!!!!!
Pretty small pond for 5 turtles, are they eventually going in the main pond?
Crawfish in the turtle pond would be dope
We want to see the big pond build!
Let them FEAST!!!!!
This came together nicely, what camera did you use to get the time lapse video? Im assuming you recorded longer than 30 minutes and thats where many cameras or at least my camera stops at.
The GoPro Hero 8 has a time warp that will shrink about 3 hours of video into a 15 minute clip.
BamaBass oh wow, i didnt know the go pro quality was that nice lol. Thank you I’ll check it out.
Love your channel. The new turtle home looks great! Is there any bird deterrent to prevent the turtles from being eaten?
LET THE TURTLES FEAST!!!!! 😂🤣
They’re so cute! There’s no predators? Will they stay out during the winter?
Excellent video, as always & that baby girl is adorable.
However
Those sweet turtle babies need more water ramps & I really loved Liz's reaction about a turtle feast. (It's a fun idea)
I hope you removed that nasty hornets nest.
Keep up the good work & enjoy your summer.
Great job! Pond looks great! What type of fish are your mosquito fish?
2:41 I honestly thought he was gonna frisbee them into the pool 😂
I would just be careful with the fencing because turtles like to dig and could possibly dig a way out of the pond
It would be cool to have some crawfish in the pond, to maby see what the turtles think of it
they are going to love tadpoles
Would you happen to have a list of the items you purchased for this set up from Lowe’s or Home Depot. I have the exact liner already just trying to figure out what size pump and other items I’m needing to ensure success. Also I wanted to use this as a permanent pond for my 2 turtles so what do I do to make the drain so it doesn’t flood over ?
Love the channel btw! New sub here and can’t stop watching your vids !
You got some great videos I hope you had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year to you I think the turtle should need to eat too
Have you had any trouble with racoons with the turtle pond?
