Powder scales/throwers have come a long ways since I started doing this +20 yrs ago. I have the RCBS Chargemaster and while not as accurate as these newer high dollar rigs my loads have always been accurate and reliable with no match fails in 10 yrs. The price on these units for accuracy I think is crazy for the average reloader. 95% of shooters will never see a difference in performance maybe national level F class or BR might but PRS guys nahhhhh. Shooting under odd positions, the clock, weather, etc you'll never see .1g made you miss or win. Good video and kudos for taking the time to do all that testing.

But he is saving 6gr for every 100 rounds for the ingenuity so should recoup that cost in about… 100 yrs.

I use a powder thrower to dispense powder into the scale pan, a trickler to round off the charge weight on a beam scale, and then I set the pan onto a digital scale as a double check. If the two scales do not agree I recheck the beam scale poises and re-zero the digital scale. Normally it is the digital scale that has drifted, but once it was a beam scale poise got moved by accident. Either way all my powder charges get checked three times. Twice by scales and once with a visual, in the loading block, after I have charged a batch before seating bullets. I do what I do for safety, not speed, cause as the old saying goes "SPEED KILLS!" And I encourage all to not find out the hard way. None the less I can charge a case every 4 to 5 seconds if I am concentrating. If I take my time and go slower I still can beat any of those powder throwing auto tricklers hands down with 100% accurate charges. And I seldom ever overthrow a charge with the Lyman Brass Smith Powder Trickler.

Should compare the velocity SD between .1 and .02 grain precision.

Also what scale was used to measure the total? Should use the same scale that they were dropped on to measure the whole batch so that the calibration is the same. Maybe the RCBS scale has a constant percentage difference with the scale you measured the whole batch.
