okay, i love Evan he's really sweet but i always felt like sth in their relationship was off. Even in s1 he was often chasing her while she avoided him; most of their interactions were iniated by him. Their first time sex doesn't really "count" bc she wasn't really stable and did it bc she found out about her mom. Their second time it seemed like she wanted to proof to herself that she didn't like Izzy (bc they had sex, iniated by Casey after she got a text from her). Also after their almost kiss she immediately kissed Evan and than there's the fact that she always talks/thinks about Izzy in front of Evan. I know Casey loves Evan, I just don't think she was ever really in love with him. She loves him bc he's sweet, has helped her a lot when things were rough (stood up for her etc.). But the way she talks about Izzy, how important she is to her and how she practically chose her over Evan twice (when they were fighting she refused Evan's offer on a ride home and obv the declined call in the car) it just feels more butterfly-y

Holy shit I just realised (after rewatching the series) that Izzie was mentioned in season 1 episode 3. The first scene is of Doug and Casey on a run and Doug asks Casey "You worried about the regionals? I know Clayton prep has that one speedy Mexican girl but I know you could beat her". This has to be a reference to Izzie since she is the captain of their track team and was their fastest athlete before Casey joined.
