Thank you for posting this, I have a "92 that I've been rebuilding over the years. This sounds really crisp and great. I heard that this year is kinda weak though, ya?
From what I’ve heard, these are pretty slow compared to other yz125s, but I have nothing to compare it to. It didn’t help that millville is deep, has hills, and I’m 195 lbs😂
I can run much better, put a good pipe, boyesen rad valve and check your jetting.I have the same bike and it sounds defiantly faster. Matching pv with exhaust port also really helps
i keep hearing how slow these era yz125s were from like 1990 to 1993 or somewhere in there so does this bike feel slower and less powerful than other 125s in same year and class...?????is this stock bike or has there been motor work done to make it faster.....ie.....mill down the head thinner head gasket ...port polish... boyesson/v force reeds......works pipe silencer.....???
It has a Noleen ported cylinder, and Noleen works pipe with an fmf silencer. I can’t comment on other bikes if this year, but it seems pretty quick up top, with zero bottom
Props to you for the build but you are way too rich on the needle and the float height is suspect....... all the porting in the world wont overcome that......
I had a 91 yz250, actually loved the motor after pro circuit cylinder porting/pipe. Decent bike, good memories

Awesome!!! Sounds like a real ripper!!!
It’s faster than the 01 yz125 I had. Once I get suspension figured out and a little more bottom end I’ll be really happy with it
Way too rich down the bottom. Go down a size on the pilot.
Going to get it dialed in soon, I appreciate the help!

Harm van de Bunte has the Noleen expansion and fmf silencer. Going to do a vforce and some jetting👍🏼
I see what you mean now, you're riding like a FOUR STROKE!!!! GET ON IT!!!
Main jet 1 size smaller . If it's jetted ballpark, it wont load up. A properly tuned bike is W spot on jetting.
ill give that a shot, i really appreciate it!
@@frassonracing ...1 size main jet, & then play with the needle clip. I start in the middle.
Thank you! Might be throwing a 05+ 125 wiring harness, stator and carb on it so I can mess with different timing maps
Props on the effort, and the track looks good and rough, but it doesn't look like it's handling too well. Does the suspension need work?
It definitely did, I’m sure the suspension hadn’t been touched since the 90’s😂 was still a blast though!

THIS IS 1991 NOT 92...
U can for sure ride a bike,now tune it😂👍🏻

with all the 2 strokes ive owned, ive never kept one long enough to properly jet the carb, i really appreciate the input!
