The Rocky and Bullwinkle rotating swimsuit statue was a parody (at Jay Ward Productions) of the Myra Breckinridge rotating swimsuit statue above the billboard across the street.
To be able to go back in a time machine with about $5000, hit all those record stores, and then come back here and... naah, screw it: keep the 5 grand, I'd STAY THERE
It passed by the Classic Cat every day coming home from St.Victors ....and a trip to the La Cienega lanes near Barney's Beanery....wild shit - Jim living at the Alta - wow he didn't look great most if the times but then he would shave and change his clothes. Dirty Hippie lol
I remember the Hollywood of the 1960's.
It was way better in those days than it is now!
I love it ! I was 20 ! Boy, how time flies......
Great Doors music. I got to see them early '67. Amazing show.
Thanks for sharing these old movies. I was seven in 1966 and wish I remember more of L.A. from then.
Grew up near the "Circus" in West Covina, CA. when the Doors played.
The Doors in the behind, perfect

I was 5 years old back then? 😁
That was a long time ago before I played there
I heard Hollywood went from James dean, too like psychedelic over night quick. Psychedelic soap commercials. Everything psych.
No, it took longer than that. The Beatniks filled in between Dean and the mid-sixties.
if you listened to this music back then you were suspect a target profiled pulled over beaten by police?
Best movie of this period is "Riot on the Sunset Strip" starring Michael Evans.
Back then the culture was you could go to a club and not worry about getting shot by thugs.
Sounds like the Doors. You should credit the musicians here.
That is actually Ray Manzarek, keyboardist of The Doors jamming before a gig in the mid-2000s. I recorded it myself during a soundcheck.
@@DavidDutkowski thanks for the clarification! No wonder it sounds like the Doors!
