Das ist doch wundervolle Musik, die weckt echte (gute) Emotionen.
zeitlos und schön...zum Träumen
Danke für die schöne Aufnahme. Wirklich ein schönes Gerät. What a wounderfull Song and a gorgeous record-player.
Another time long gone but what magic!
This is the German version - try Jean Sablon. You do well to fly the Union Jack upside down.
Tru of all the versions I've been able to find on the Internet. Can't remember the name of he film that came out around 2010 about man who's in secret service and unknowingly is married to a Nazi spy. They're at a dance and the orchestra is playing the melody. Bye the bye does any one know that the melody is Italian in origin and sung by I believe Nino martini.
Oh o glade to be reminded of the Jean Sablon version, exquisite.
Sehr schön !
Dance Erwin🙂

Man after my own heart. Was your machine restored with vacuum tubes ? Solid state vibrator ? And your record condition could not be better. 🙏
Thx a lot Thomas... Actually only a soundbox and horn 😉. But I did spend hours restoring it
Really? Very nice recording, but the beginning is like a speed-reading test.
Ah, lovely Paris in 1939....singing a french song written by an italian and sung in german. In not too long the Germans will be all over and this song will be sung throughout France...in german.
You have a wonderful sence of music and an ironic sense of history. I've loved all the many languages this beautiful melody has been recorded including either Chech or Polish.
Das war noch musik, nicht so ein hektisches Geplaere wie he
Bestimmt 😉
