    I've heard of runners logging upwards of 500 miles or more on their SB1, which speaks to the durability. At $200 USD, that durability is appreciated. I use mine strictly for 18 to 22 mile long runs with workouts. Otherwise, for 16 mile or less at easy pace, I use the Novablast. I only have 107 miles on the SB, so I have a ways to go before I can pick up the SB2. Thx. Chris.

      @SagasuRunning  Місяць тому +5

      You are using them for their designed purpose spot on to the spec. Also pairing them with a NB for shorter runs is perfect.
      I’m also curious how many miles some will get out of these. Those that got 600-1000km in the SB1 should get the same. It won’t be me who finds out, but someone will.

      Is this a strictly cost concern or Novablast is better for short runs?

      @HyperOpticalSaint NB & SB complement each other. Why use a $$$ super trainer for shorter, easy pace runs when you can use a significantly more cost-effective shoe for the same purpose?

    Did my first run in the SB2 yesterday - 13.6 miles. I find the heel strike more cushioned and comfortable in v2, although curiously, my feet felt it when I was forefoot striking on uphills more so than in v1. Also, it was really warm and humid during the run and the new mesh upper retained a lot more sweat than v1. Finally, can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciated not having to pick rocks out at the end of the run!

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  Місяць тому +3

      FFTurbo+ is simply a much better foam.
      Here in Taipei, in July, it is 33-36c and humid daily... so my shoes fill with sweat quickly. The SB1 would retain more sweat in the shoe...but I find the SB2 drains it quite a bit better. The upper does hold onto some more moisture but the interior of the shoe is less wet for me.

      @SagasuRunning  Місяць тому +5

      Both brands (and Nike) have done that before. I see it...but it's not unique. Though, in 2025 it seems it will be a BIG part of Adidas's design language.

      The SB2 in this video is actually very good looking in person. Maybe one of my favorite Asics color ways ever.
      However, Asics NEVER does “normal”’color ways for any of the “blast” shoes…..it’s like they are trying to make the most obnoxious and atrocious color combos they can come up with.

    Thanks for another informative review. Could you expand on what you mean by FF Blast + Eco being “more consistent”? I would expect the opposite to be true - greater variability in a foam made of recycled rather than virgin material.
    Keep the reviews coming!

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  24 дні тому +1

      Generally speaking Eco foams are a mess normally. They break down faster and don’t feel all that great to run in. However with FfBlast+ ECO Asics has done the impossible. I’m not a fan of FFBlast+, I find it ranges from dead to fun to way to squishy…. And you never know what you’ll get on each run or during a run. I’ve talked about this alot on the channel. When FFBlast+ feels good, it’s a fun foam, but they window in the life of the shoe or I a run is too narrow. Oddly FFBlast+ ECO is remarkably consistent and feels like the “fun” version of FFBlast+, but without the wild swings.
      It’s to the point that if a shoe is just FFBlast+ I won’t even bother. If it is mixed with another foam or plate I’ll give it a chance…. But otherwise avoiding. FFBlast+ ECO I enjoy, when I want a squishy soft ride and foam (which isn’t often).
      That’s what I mean.
      Thank you for the kind words on the channel. 🤙🏻

    the problem with asics sizing for someone with too much wide foot like me is that I need to get the wide side for them to fit my foot perfectly. superblast 1 only came with one sizing, fortunately it fits well enough. I do have them and run with them almost everyday even though I can still feel how snug they are.
    I hope with the new knit upper, they will snug comfortably this time 😅

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  Місяць тому

      The knit upper will stretch much more on the SB2 than the motion wrap did on the SB1. It won’t be a “wide” fit, but will feel more generous than the SB1 did.

    • @jakasep8848
      @jakasep8848 Місяць тому
