Light/medium weight fusible woven interfacing
Stiffened felt or similar

I just had to make this guy for "Christmas In July" - he's a very good size and I loved making him. Lisa, I gotta tell you that the main reason I made the snowman was for the "top hat"! That "Top Hat" is gorgeous and so easy to put together (thank you) and I just can't wait to find the unsuspecting project that will have a "top hat" whether they need one or not 🤣

Thanks for the great snowman!! I just finished the elephant (perfect pattern!!) and the snowman will be the next project. I will be making him from some rust dyed fabric to give him a privative look. Should be a wonderful addition to the Christmas decor. Cheers!!

Quick question on the interfacing... Does it have to be a woven interfacing or can I use a non woven? If not, would you mind explaining the reason why one is better than the other? Hey Nancy! I’m so glad you like him!, The woven interfacing has flexibility while being stable, this makes it perfect for 3D projects with filling, it will flex with the pressure. The non woven is suitable for dressmaking ie; collars and cuffs, and also anything flat, quilts, wall hangings etc. I hope this helps, Stay safe 🥰

Hi Karen, as I mentioned in the video, you will need to sew the head on using a long doll needle. 🥰
what tool do you use to cut your matt board so smoothly?
I actually just use my paper scissors! If the edges are a little rough, I sand them with a nail file/board 🥰
4/30/21 Lisa, I have my Grandmother's Chenille Bedspread. I would like to make the snowman out of the bedspread fabric? Do you think that will be a compatible fabric? Sincerely , Linda
Hi Linda! It would certainly be a lovely finish, it will depend on how much stretch is in the fabric? It will need to be quite stable for the Snowman. I would probably still interface it to help with that. I hope this helps!🥰🤗

Hi Theda, There is no such thing as a silly question! 4mm is just a little smaller than the standard Quarter inch. 🥰
