The wounding is from the person.
The struggle is not.
Forgiveness is a decision & a process.
Every trauma, there is a fact & an impact.
You have to work through hurt, pain & restoration.
Forgiveness is a wonderful step of healing whether reconciliation happens in that relationship or not.
You can still have a redemption story even if there is reconciliation or not!
Forgiveness doesn't gain trust. It is based on time & believable behavior. Trust but verify.
Checking phone or computer if there is marriage infidelity.
Triggers are an indication that there is more healing that needs to take place.

There are boundaries that might have to be put in place while we are learning to trust again.
Don't put resentment up & boundaries are not to push the other person away, but to keep the self together!
It can feel impossible to release loved ones to their choices. You may lose them forever.
We are not just dust, we are the breath of God, made in His image, made with a purpose.
We are not just broken off bone. We are not the sum total of what we say or do, but we are who God says we are.
What seemed like a party, was a pit of hell.
70x7 - Give yourself distance so if you have to forgive them, you don't get destroyed in the process.

Praise God! I experience a similar experience. I am not the Savior and I trust God and He came through. I really wish I did it sooner but Glory to God he worked in our process.

I bought the book AND workbook FORGIVING WHAT YOU CANT FORGET and it has changed my life! I would forgive because God has commanded it- but I wasn’t dealing with the hurt and pain. I knew I wanted to forgive but never truly understood HOW! Now I understand and wish everyone would get the book and workbook to dig deeper. I think we would all become whole. This is exactly what God has been teaching me this November. I had to let him go, I am not his God therefore I cannot save him. His sin and lifestyle is not my burden to bear, and I cannot keep on allowing myself to be brought down because of it. I am still holding on to the promise he gave me though. Wow...just wow...I'm definitely going to need to rewatch this and Lysa's message. She is just dropping wisdom and so much insight in the art (no pun intended) of forgiveness and just how to navigate that journey. Art's story...was just amazing to hear and it resonated with me as well.
Also, this may sound nitpicky, but just how I feel, I'm so happy to see the chairs and the laid back atmosphere of the set for The DIG. It creates a more conversational vibe. The elevated white platform takes away from that vibe for me and is more like I'm about to watch a debate or something lol.

The best part of this DIG session for me was when she talked about how you don't have to continue to stand in front of your abuser and let them continue to beat you down, which is so true! We can take "love is patient and love is kind" out of context to a point where we only continue to hurt ourselves. Can't wait to read her book!!🔥🥳
True. I think that people neglect other scriptures such as "Husbands love your wives as Christians loved the body of Christ (the Church)".
If God would never abuse his church or His own body, then husbands should never abuse their wives.

Does lysa have classes specifically on forgiveness I just realized that I can't do this alone period.
I think she just has multiple forms of her book (the book and study journal books to go with it) but maybe you'll want to look into Christian counseling (faith counseling, or betterhelp) while reading her book to help process(=
