+Ben johanas FINALLY! It seemed there were not many positive replies...a few...yet I absolutely agree with you. I find this impressive, fascinating, creative, and so enjoyable to watch someone who's damn good at what they do. I do renovations as well, not treehouses, yet nice projects and completely appreciate the planning, materials, execution and craftsmanship to do this build. Very well done! Kudos
When I was 12, me and 2 friends made a tree house about half the size of this one, fifty feet up in this big old tree. It had a roof, a balcony, and two glass windows that we were given by a man who was putting in new ones. It had a trapdoor and rope ladder but we made a winch to pull us up with. We had one hammer, two saws and a chisel. We got nails from a man on a building site, at first he gave us bent ones, but later gave us a giant bag of new six inch nails. We worked out how to do it as we went along and never asked an adult for help. We had great times playing in it.
Hey Ethan, I'm a builder here in california and have done a wide range of very high end work. I have never posted on a video ever! I ran across this when I was doing some research to build my own tree house and I have to tell you, I'm very impressed and everyone who watches this should be impressed. You guys are some very talented dudes and congrats on a job very well done! Very impressive !!!! Hope you get this post.
Your videos are absolutely amazing! What an inspiration! I've wanted to build a treehouse for a really long time (I already have a smaller one from when I was younger), and this video really helped me get a better idea of how to build it, since building a bigger treehouse is a lot more work and takes a lot more planning out than a smaller one. Thanks for sharing!
Impressive. Be careful with the table saw, though. That's not good practice having the blade that high up when cutting a thin sheet....kickback risk and push sticks are always advised
Um, I think my brain just exploded! Video, treehouse, music... Everything is very well done. I was laughing in amazement and cheering all alone as I watched this! You got my subscription for sure!
The house is fantastic, I suppose it's too expensive. But, the space between the tree and the floor and roof must be closed somehow. Otherwise, might be happen that some reptile or something else enter inside. May be you could do that by means some spring around the tree and some elastic material.
+che14061928 It's not shown in the video, but we did fill that gap to keep squirrels and birds and such out. We made a rope about 4 inches in diameter by braiding 16 strands of 1/2 inch rope together, and we wrapped that around the tree and stuffed it into the gap.
Ethan, could you show how you mount "the top ring"? Movie starts with preparation of metal parts but then mounting them to/ around the tree is shown from far away. Do you drill the treee? Do I see correctly that "the top ring" holds everything ?
This is absolutely beautiful. I think maybe putting a skirt to separate the tree from the house would maybe protect is from termites if you have termites in your area.
+Voxboy876 same as everything else, they require repair or replacement. That said you use mature trees so more than likely the structure will fail before the tree out grows it. Unless you're an elf in which case you just built Rivendell.
lo malo es cuando el árbol crece y la casa comienza a dañarse... por lo demás, quedé impresionada con el fantástico trabajo que hicieron, está hermosa!
Very nice.First class workmanship.Well done.
Wonderful house with amazing view! Love it....
this looks better than my house
Wow! Amazing they could build something like that in only 7 minutes, what a time to be alive :)
it took them 6 months, not seven minutes...
+Amelia Lierley No! Seriously?!
I thought sarcasm died a *LONG* time ago.
What a time to be alive...
You're really mean to sarcasm! How could you kill him(it?) so quickly!
It is sad that so few people will understand the effort it takes to complete something this amazing to such a high standard.

Gentlemen you did an excellent job.
This show homes of the future!!
I love the way you have insulated walls, but have holes to let the tree in.
Those window peels were ridiculously satisfying
for someone who has taken a couple of months to get 10% of a tree-mounted chicken coop done, inspiring! thanks guys.
Dope little truck. Great build too
you sure have a lot of faith in that pine tree! nice build!
thanks for sharing. Cool video.
Are you kidding me? Awesome work. And great video production too

Such a great video. And such a fantastic treehouse! Thanks for posting!
Ya'll are some straight up bad ass carpenters!
people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones..... and people who live in tree houses shouldn't piss off lumberjacks
lololol
or start fires...
holy crap that is an epic treehouse dude! if only I could build then I would slap one together for my kids!
Clever old boys. Nice job. I would like to see more of the hanging system.
They installed bolts into base of the tree.

Awesome!! You rock!!!! May God bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you dressed a tree in tree. you covered a tree with its dead neighbor. lol

+Ethan Schlussler but wouldn't that suffocate the tree

+Ethan Schlussler wow
If you're afraid of animals, why do you want a treehouse?
this tree house is perfect ,very good work.
Oh. My. God. It's AWESOME!!! I hope some day I'll build something like this. Ofc, not so good like your's. Good job! Keep it up and good luck!
That is incredible!!! Puts a lot of faith in the tree tho!
LOL that licence plate , great tree house
Liked and subscribed, and i'm only half way through the video.
Amazing! I hope the pine tree's roots are strong enough.
First world workmanship.

Nice angles, and also the cut-scenes are refreshing as well! Good job!
This is absolutely beautiful. I think maybe putting a skirt to separate the tree from the house would maybe protect is from termites if you have termites in your area.
wow! that thing is first class
Impressive work and a very cool result guys.
Thanks for the video.
Looks great.
Shared. Great video!
Very good Tree!
What happens to these structures when the tree/trees grow???
they built it so the house moves with the tree
+Voxboy876 same as everything else, they require repair or replacement. That said you use mature trees so more than likely the structure will fail before the tree out grows it. Unless you're an elf in which case you just built Rivendell.
well the branches won't grow around the bottom of the trees, where they put the tree house.
That's why they left some room for the tree to grow. By the time the tree is bigger than the hole the the structure will be old and falling apart.
Makes sense. Thanks for the reply.
awesome build
This is absolutely beautiful. I think maybe putting a skirt to separate the tree from the house would maybe protect is from termites.
a beautiful structure!
Holy crap! That looks awesome, great job! I wanna live there! haha!
Well done mate
Awesome! Wish I had one.
Man, you guys do awesome work. 100% legit.
I'm an advanced scaffolder and it would be a good idea to add cantilever braces under the support for extra strength.
Sweet job
That's awesome!!!! Well done!!!
This is absolutely beautiful.
It's a shame that such a beauty of a tree house will be ruined by the growing of the tree :(
PissedOffCookie Look at the space they left
lo malo es cuando el árbol crece y la casa comienza a dañarse... por lo demás, quedé impresionada con el fantástico trabajo que hicieron, está hermosa!
Massive, massive carpentry skills.....one-ten-thousand! You guys don't even realize how much f*ckin talent you have!
