As a composer, I am always amazed and humbled by the simplicity and sheer inventiveness of his music. We mere mortals can only dream of writing like this.
You know you have heard sublime music, when tears of joy run through your face. All because one recognizes the sheer beauty of his craft. Edit: And of course the beauty of the interpretation!
there is that perfect elegance and fluidity of the form in his music that nobody can match... even a certain composer who followed (he came not even close)... we will wait for long for a genius of a such caliber to be born again
This was one of Chopin's favorite pieces to perform.
He had good taste.
I'm not surprised he liked this one :)
In fact it was in the programme of his last recital in Paris, in February 1848. He played it with A. Franchomme and J.-D. Alard.

@@davisatdavis1 Hmm? State your point. This kind of passivity achieves nothing.

Me encantan estos aportes de Daniel. La música y las explicaciones.
Very tasteful recording of a great piece!
Beautiful passage in minor from 15:33 to 16:20 .
Beautiful music!
So romantic!
Wonderful.

Grazie per i dati.
Not to forget the Aria of Sarastro in Zauberflöte, also in E major.
