    Initially, music may have brought them together, but respect and love were what really defined their friendship.

    This is what it's all about. Beyond race and background but connecting as friends. Thanks Joe for all that you do to bring music's stories to life.

      Amen! I tell people ALL the time...just because someone looks like you and dresses like you, does NOT mean they are like you! And just because someone looks different from you and dresses different than you, does NOT mean they are different from you! That is a powerful lesson to many of us need to learn and understand!

      Hi Jim.... I’m truly glad you enjoyed it. I was not going to use the clips because I didn’t want to bring up those old memories until things got derailed the last few weeks. I felt it might help let people know after something like we are experiencing now how things could be be. Thanks for watching... Joe

    Even Berry Gordy at Motown was ringing his hands the times had these artist doing their own things the Temps, Marvin all were getting the message out of social change ( as they should) Ha even Brain Wilson wasn't writing about the beach or hot rods and girls any more . The times had truly change... Thanks Joe & peace out..

      Thank you too... I thought the way things have been lately people would have enjoyed seeing and sharing a honest true life story like to this but we’ve received very few in comparison to most of our other videos. I should have made the picture and the title sound darker and probably would have gotten lots more views. Human nature I guess. Best.... Joe

    Thanks so much for that Joe, especially during these trying times. If that doesn't put a few tears in your eyes, you had better go look in the mirror & figure out who's looking back at you no matter what color you are.....

    One of the originators of fat horn section grooves in recorded music. Lot of people have listened to his music, but never heard of Wayne Jackson. Nevertheless, the world knows his trumpet! The world knows his soul. As such, the world in general with all of its foibles, and music specifically are still in a much better place because of what he, and Andrew did in Memphis with their horns.🎺🎷

      Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum Johnny Cash loved Steve Goodman and so does Willie Nelson.

    • @MusiciansHallofFameMuseum
      @MusiciansHallofFameMuseum  4 роки тому +1

      No doubt talented songwriter etc. Just hasn’t been nominated by members of the musicians union who nominees our pool of possible future inductees. It may make more sense to him to be in Songwriters Hall Of Fame. Personally I love some of his songs. City of New Orleans is one of my top top favorite songs ever no matter who records it. The David Allan Coe song you never even called me by my name is also a great record. All the best, Joe
