at the end of the first run through the Rome level everything got mega wierd. Medusa had naked boobs and that goat headed dude just appeared out of no freakin where. and on the second part...wtf is Anubis (he's Egyptian!) doing in Rome!? lol history phail! well, maybe that was AFTER they "borrowed" all of that Egyptian culture lol. Future World looks like it's from that anime Battle of the Planets, lol. oh god, the ending was wack. i'd LOVE to see an arade version speed run!

I always died really fast but the game just looked so cool I didnt care! back then, video games were like a whole other dimension of reality and they just drove me insane!
I never could beat this game back in the day. And now that I see it doesnt have any sort of a real ending, Its just as well. I would have been SERIOUSLY let down by it.

It was nearly seven years ago when my brother stumbled upon this game among another batch of SMS games he got from a thrift store, that is why I usually pop in those stores more often in hopes of finding another bargain like that. I heard that SMS was actually superior to the NES, but Nintendo held more third party licensing...
i played it years ago but i have the arcade version on psn i havent finished it yet though i also die on the last level because when u run out of lives on the last level on the arcade version what i have on psn u cant continue and that sucks i will defeat that robot gylend 1 day
on SMS you could tell if you were going to get the warp depending on which soldier it sent you after first...I used to reset the game if I didn't get it. i don't remember the bosses going down so fast tho!
I think this was one of the last games I played. I'm bidding on a SMS with this game right now. I will not playing this so much. I was becoming wacky of the graphic and the sound.
LOL I remember the picture at 00:07 being in my SEGA magazine (anyone remember that?) back in 7th grade. My friend saw it and said "Wow look at those graphics". Damn now i feel old.
Since this game was so tough, I figured out a way to get more continues by pressing start on the second controller port to get more tries playing as Ben when Yohan has had enough.

I remember this game or I should say I remember how much money I lost...One of my worst Master System game along with Double Dragon and Out Run.
yeah, the SMS is a bit more powerful, but like you said, the NES got more people to jump on it's 8-bit bandwagon.
I like the other arcade version better.
