Still has great battery life. Charging everyday isn't at all a big deal. But yeah iphone battery life is crazy good. Hopefully Samsung will fix the issue with the S23
This has been a very great an in-depth camera comparison together with the battery. Things that could be improved are the apps, cause certain apps may be running in the background. Else I'd say that this review has been really very helpful, but this has got me thinking, how does the Pixel compare camera wise. side note: there's so many minor things that these manufacturers could do to make the perfect phone, get rid of curved screen. Tested the different holding positions to get a comfortable holding phone, etc. WHY ARE THEY NOT DOING EM?!?!?!
The perfect phone doesn't exist and will never exist. Technology is never finished just like fashion not to mention that it advances at a rapid rate. There's always room for improvement.
Samsung could make the “perfect phone” for the year By removing curved screens, but they won’t They want to show off their skills just like that pen nobody uses, in 2-3 years when all will move to 6,000mah or 7,000mah Samsung will still be stuck on 5,000mah or 5,500mah
Watching this with my Samsung S22 Ultra 5G 512gb/12gb variant. I'm a bit disappointed with the battery but I'm blown away with it's camera zoom and other features. This is what you call innovation. Good thing I chose this over Iphone 13 pro max. I had my first IPhone before which was the 11 pro max but I feel like there was no freedom in Iphone's ecosystem. It got boring and dull. But what's good in Iphone over the others is the chipset.
Thank you for this review! I'm going to have to upgrade my Pixel 3 because it no longer gets software updates, and the video you've produced here is exactly what I was looking for because my primary concern is a long-lasting phone with an excellent camera so I can take pictures while hiking. I haven't checked out any of the other videos on your channel, but it would be great if you could also do a "X months later" type review where you look at battery life and performance after regularly using a phone for a few months. Thanks again!
If you want 7 years of software support and a battery that lasts 7 hours with 50% remaining get the iPhone bro!!! It’s on my channel for the battery review, quick 2 minute video check it out!!!
I think everything up to 30 times zoom on the S22 Ultra looks really good. It stays "usable" sort of up to 50 times and everything above 50 times zoom is juft for fun 😄
It maybe IG worthy, but IG tends to compress Android photos, making the clear crisp picture blurry. What's the point then of having all the sharpness and can't even post?
You just convinced me to get the S22 Ultra. I have the S7+ and I love its screen. My current phone is a Pixel 5a and tbh when I compare the screens, I just love the higher refresh rate and just how beautiful the Samsung screens look.
The difference in battery size is quite drastic yet iPhone did really well can not lie, your video just reassured me that I made a right choice by getting the iPhone 13 Pro Max ☺️
That's pretty interesting. I'm an Android user for more than 10 years - mostly Samsung. Last year I switched to an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I didn't have any issues switching to IOS. I like the phone - the cam is amazing and the battery life outstanding. I still use a Samsung as second device. So you prefer the more saturated S22 pictures and that's what I love with the iPhone. They look more natural. I'm cannot stand Samsung's colorful holiday card pictures anymore. It's better with the S22 series but still exists. But that's personal taste for sure. Video quality goes to Apple.
Agree. Samsung looks a bit better to me but in my experience, iPhone looks more realistic. Not sure why she had a different experience with the water but I’d be happy with both.
Duuuuuuude this made me miss Vancouver so hard 😭. It's already so lush and green... Calgary is only just beginning to transform out of its ugly spring brown-ness. This was a great comparison, and I'm honestly impressed with both phones here. Personally, I like the flatter look of the iPhone's photos, but that's a me thing. I'd be curious to know if using photographic styles on the iPhone could more closely match the out-of-the-box look you prefer on the Samsung. Samsung's processing has gotten way better over the last few years, regardless. If you want a datapoint for the 13 Pro Max battery life, I had a pretty similar day on a trip to San Francisco back in January. A full day of walking around, running navigation pretty much the entire time I was walking (8+ hours), taking hundreds of photos and videos, streaming music and podcasts the entire time, watching UA-cam over meals for a few hours, and even watching an hour+ of Netflix in the hotel at night still left me with about 5% before I went to sleep.
As user of iPhone 13 Pro Max and S22 user, I can confirm the advantage of each one over the other. Although since I use 13 Pro Max, S22 is way faster to drain battery and s22 has no 10x optical but the 3x is so great.
Vancouver is so beautiful and thank you for bringing us on this journey with you. I personally prefer the Galaxy S22 Ultra to the iPhone. Even when Ella is on vacation she's working. That's called dedication!
Great content, I went from a S21 Ultra to an Iphone 13 Pro Max and then came back to Android whit the S22 Ultra.. I couldn't stand iOS much longer.. I was missing the freedom that android and OneUI gives. Miss the battery life sometimes but overall, much more advantages than disadvantages

this is the accurate representation of "real life comparison." both phones are soooo great. may i just ask if both phones have the same apps while you were running the tests?
iPhone 13 pro max is always my secondary phone for its simplicity and for taking video, imo it is not user friendly because of its limited functionalities compare with Samsung Samsung s22u for its user friendly functionality. all around usage. it's weird that most testing review said that s22u has bad battery. however in almost all reviewers did that real life test, s22u battery life is longer than 13 pro and a bit less than 13 pro max. my s22u can be used over 1 day and a few hours with 7 to 8 hours sot, I use its dex mode to work everyday. iPhone 13 pm can be used for 1 day + 6 to 8 hours.
It boils down to personal preference, cause for me, I love the saturated look. It makes photos pop and it makes you enjoy that memory more, and when you said the water looked over sharpened, right before you said that I thought "Man that water looks awesome!"

As far as using 60hz motion, can I tell when scrolling that 120hz is much smoother? Yes, but who is going to spend time scrolling to just enjoy that? When one is reading/watching videos on their phone, they are not scrolling. Scrolling the phone screen during whatever is a very small % of phone usage.
It's all marketing aesthetics. I got the phone because I got a great deal, the screen is big, and the camera system is awesome.
@@Tommy6860 don't switch to 60hz mode. The s22 ultra have varible refresh rate tech that can dynamicly change the hz from 1 to 120hz depending on the situation so it actually going to give more battery life with adaptive refresh rate on...
Congratulations, I loved the video, you have an incredible landscape.
Thank you very much!
My sister has the S22 Ultra and doesn’t get a full day on her battery. I have the 13 Pro Max and get 2 days.
Still has great battery life. Charging everyday isn't at all a big deal. But yeah iphone battery life is crazy good. Hopefully Samsung will fix the issue with the S23
Can't really compare use of two different people unless they use it for the same amount of time using the same apps.
S22 Ultra is still way better than your Phone overall...
@@seleimansafi4287 I disagree. I’ve switched back and forth between iPhone and Samsung for years. Samsung always disappoints.
@@heartmommyinpa nah buddy the s22 ultra is better
The problem is not the camera hardware on samsung, it's the software. You can use Filmic Pro for videos on samsung and see the difference
@@PSYCHOV3N0M nothing wrong with aiming for perfection? 🤷🏻♂️
Samsung could make the “perfect phone” for the year
By removing curved screens, but they won’t
They want to show off their skills just like that pen nobody uses, in 2-3 years when all will move to 6,000mah or 7,000mah Samsung will still be stuck on 5,000mah or 5,500mah
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN I prefer functionality over looks, more people prefer flat screens just look all over the internet
Bruh, it’s raining all day. We barely see sunlight in Vancouver. And you made it look like it’s all sunny in Vancouver.
You missed telling the color.
But who asked
At least iPhone 13 pro max users have the freedom to travel and not worry about battery, and u guys, Samsung guys, have to worry about it
@@Line171 so you dont need to charge your iphone huh...interesting
How much screen on time you are getting?
I'm getting 4-5 hrs sot on snapdragon version.
Thanks cor taking the time to deliver a professional authentic comparison video. It was super helpful.
So which one that u consider to buy?
If you want 7 years of software support and a battery that lasts 7 hours with 50% remaining get the iPhone bro!!!
It’s on my channel for the battery review, quick 2 minute video check it out!!!
Crazy how this channel has grown, as deserved !!!!
I think everything up to 30 times zoom on the S22 Ultra looks really good. It stays "usable" sort of up to 50 times and everything above 50 times zoom is juft for fun 😄
100x looks incredible, I can confirm
Love these videos! They're oddly comforting...
Great video, I would love to see the same comparison between the
S22 Plus (which I have) and the Ultra. Thank you for what you do!
Excellent, thorough review!
Both phones are great! The iPhone tries to make the photos look natural while the S22 Ultra does a good job making the photos instagram worthy.
How is it? Especially performance / battery life?
I think this should have been a comparison between 13pro max and the S22U.
Does she own a pro max??
Great video. Love the day in life reviews.
BTW you can put Google maps in dark mode on the Samsung
I've always dreamed of a device with iOS software and Samsung Galaxy hardware but it won't exist 😫
I just wanted to check compering of phone's but I totally forget it those views of Vancouver was so beautiful
Great videos. Glad I found this channel!
The difference in battery size is quite drastic yet iPhone did really well can not lie, your video just reassured me that I made a right choice by getting the iPhone 13 Pro Max ☺️
Best choice. 13 Pro Max is a monster
Thank you! Great vid comparison.
I’ve been thinking of picking up the Samsung 22 ultra I think I’m sold thank you awesome review
Next time use pro mode from the sitting
Thank you for this video - very detailed and entertaining!
As user of iPhone 13 Pro Max and S22 user, I can confirm the advantage of each one over the other. Although since I use 13 Pro Max, S22 is way faster to drain battery and s22 has no 10x optical but the 3x is so great.
Thankyou so much from the UK very informative.
Vancouver is so beautiful and thank you for bringing us on this journey with you. I personally prefer the Galaxy S22 Ultra to the iPhone. Even when Ella is on vacation she's working. That's called dedication!
thank you so much!
What a beautiful well put together video! Thank you..
And you have surely missed the better camera especially when taking Photos :-)
I never missed anything from my s20, whats the ting you missed?
You weren't using dark mode on the galaxy either for your Instagram session so it would have had an even bigger lead I'm guessing
Great review and balanced as always. Since Photos are more Important to me big win for the S22 Ultra :-)
Photos are important for me as well so I’m definitely picking 13 pro max
Because you forgot that it has “photographic styles”😜
@@Unknownuserhtps maybe but the overall quality of the S22 Ultra in most cases is better as you can see in this Video my friend 😉
@@seleimansafi4287 I saw lots of HDR being missed on s22ultra, some colors are off and you don’t have the option to permanently take natural shots like the iPhone
The iPhone is basically for EVERY photographer because you can choose which style you want
For 108mp and a MUCH larger camera sensor, it’s kinda pathetic how Samsung looses most of the time🥲
@@Unknownuserhtps we agree to disagree. Maybe you should put on your glasses are can't see properly. Just check this review again. This is a fresh methods to review these phones. Good job!
Wow traveling by yourself super brave i could never 😅. Really nice video I prefer Samsung for sure but I really thought iPhone battery would do way better cuz i heard so many good things about it.
Wow a lot of work went into this video. Super helpful thank you
iPhone camera always win in terms of consistency. It takes photos and shoots videos with a more natural tone, which i like.
Great video. Thanks for doing all that!
Wow great intro, I definitely prefer the S22 Ultra 5G!
i loved this review, thanks so much
Both phones are great in there genre....it depends upon a persons choice on which one to buy
This is the first real and fair comparison that i ever watched. I'm now a follower
This shows how much Apple has gone far with battery optimization since the older models. I think I'll get an iPhone
wait for the iPhone 14 it comes out in 2 weeks
Love it🥰❤️😘 Hope u'll realease more trip, ASMR video like this!🥳
iPhone guy until I die but I like Samsung phones
Cheers from San Diego California
I love the comparison!!
Long story short:
Iphone better video
Samsung better photo
Nice visuals throughout your journey. Looking forward to see more of such journeys from you. Keep it up!!
Great comparison! Super jealous of your battery life though. I am running a different launcher and tons of customization though. Getting about 10% per hour of screen on time
That's 10h of sot, pretty impressive

I’d pick iPhone any day! You get photographic styles so you can get vibrant photos whenever you want, don’t know why you didn’t show that feature off but whatever🤔
My 13 pro max after 7 hours and 52 minutes of use is on 50% which is absolutely incredible
Video quality is much better, iPhone for sure but Samsung isn’t bad with that 10x zoom lens😮
it truly depends on what you rly need you for example prefer iPhone which i respect , but for me Samsung's multitasking with double the RAM and better photos and the 10 x is just for me to absolutely love it .
@@ninojelicic Samsungs extra ram makes no difference in multitasking and the iphone still comes out on top, as well as editing, gaming, etc

I was supposed to buy the s22 ultra but after seeing how poor it took videos plus it’s battery life (yes i know the screen resolution but still) made my rethink my choice , my iPhone 13 pro max will be arriving Friday 🥰

this is the accurate representation of "real life comparison." both phones are soooo great. may i just ask if both phones have the same apps while you were running the tests?
iPhone 13 pro max is always my secondary phone for its simplicity and for taking video, imo it is not user friendly because of its limited functionalities compare with Samsung
Samsung s22u for its user friendly functionality. all around usage.
it's weird that most testing review said that s22u has bad battery. however in almost all reviewers did that real life test, s22u battery life is longer than 13 pro and a bit less than 13 pro max.
my s22u can be used over 1 day and a few hours with 7 to 8 hours sot, I use its dex mode to work everyday.
iPhone 13 pm can be used for 1 day + 6 to 8 hours.
this video was really good ella !!
thank you so much!

THANK YOU! 😎👍
I have enjoyed with video;) thumbs up
The iPhone has in-camera app filtering. That might be the reason you’re seeing images that aren’t that saturated.
I'm you're new subscriber, your way of creating content is just awesome
Even the normal iPhone 13
is better than the Pro on battery
But Pro Max. That’s whole next level

Great video! Very informative, helpful to guide anyone who is thinking of buy one of these two. 🥳
Glad it was helpful!
It boils down to personal preference, cause for me, I love the saturated look. It makes photos pop and it makes you enjoy that memory more, and when you said the water looked over sharpened, right before you said that I thought "Man that water looks awesome!"
