Today we had a huge surprise when we found a new born baby donkey, unfortunately as Gary watched closely, Patsy never offered to let the baby nurse. After consulting with the vet actions were taken to save the baby, we even had to milk a donkey.. Thanks for watching and God Bless!

Deejay Arms has good experience with baby mini donkeys. She has a lot of experience with trying to decide about bottles etc.
I don’t recall if Patsy has had a foal before. If not, I’ve seen some new mothers confused because either their udders are painful or the milk “letting down” is painful so they don’t want the baby to nurse. Hopefully with you working with her those “pains” will stop & she’ll accept the foal nursing 🙏
Tie up momm@ let baby nurse after baby nurses the momma hormones should kick in. She is probably a first time mom. Maybe even give her something to calm her down so it can nurse good
We tried tying her, had to milk her out

I would like to hope mom Donkey will figure it out but maybe she won’t feed him. At least she can protect him as she obviously cares about him. It’s really a dilemma that’s for sure. He is a cutie though. I hope he survives his rough start. I do think you are doing everything you can to help him, now it’s in Gods hands.

If the other donkey does have a foal, then maybe she will let Bo nurse alongside her own baby.
The name Bo fits in with your other donkey names. First, because "beau" means beautiful in French, and second, because the actor John Schneider, who played Bo on "The Dukes of Hazzard", is also a country singer and song writer.
Patsy acts like she wants the baby to follow her into that stable at the end of the video. Cute little fella.

Deejay Arms has had to nurse several baby donkeys because of several different reasons. She loves her donkeys and may offer some suggestions. Just a thought. Bo is a cute little guy.

The one donkey that Arms Family almost lost is now at Cog Hill Farm. Her name is Jessie and she's doing very well, even though she is still small!!

Cassie can't you feed the baby out of a bucket? PawPaw Morrow had to do that with Ivan. Hes now thriving n gotten so big.. Here's to hoping n praying!
