Just Googled the 9W. I was guessing late 50s' manufacture. The one site talks about 1961 I was fortunate to live in Southern Ohio and our Ag class visit Big Muskie and the other shovels in the area. Seeing Muskie then 4 HD 41's doing reclaiming side by side was a great experience .Living on disability now due to a work injury your videos really help me pass the time..Thanks
My dream is to see Big Muskie’s bucket and to take a tour of mining shovels and draglines, operating or not. The states I must see are Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio where I believe one of the two Buycyrus 3950B supposedly dug for 70 miles. I wonder whether they were scrapped or not?
