I have cane back dining chairs I have wanted upholstered as one the chairs was badly damaged in moving. What a great video. This is first one I've found in order to attempt upholstering, and came across it from watching another video. Chairs you upholstered are absolutely beautiful. Thank you.

I have 6 cane backed chairs in my flea market booth and I’m selling them as is at $7.95 each. They’ve been in my booth for 2 months; after watching this I think I’m going to pull them out and try and reupholster them myself 😳😁🤔and hopefully sell them for more. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾

Upholstery is easy! It's canning which is difficult..I leave that to thd experts.

That chair looks AMAZING!!!! FINISHED PRODUCT is EXQUISTE 11/10!!! The attention to detail even the back looks flawless, some ppl don't care about the back but i do. flip many incl. small furniture for my small business, mostly small, easy pieces (chairs, tables, stools etc) that I usually decoupage or strip, repaint with chalk paint - shabby chic/distressed that kind of thing and when I have to do something a bit more complex I try to find the BEST youtube vids. Well...I got a Queen Anne chair - never done one of those before as the reupholstering part scared me a bit knowing my skillset is limited.
So I go on youtube and find a bunch of young ppl, reupholstering furniture, they got high volume views they got a large sub count but as I watch them I see a lot talking lots of talking of "short cuts" being taken or things that don't quite sit right with me - like overstapling on the edge and double stapling a flimsier (non upholstery) fabric edge that in a short space of time and wear/tear will eventually rip things like that.
Sooooooo...I come across your GEM of a video and it was like I had been in a sinking ship and spotted a lighthouse - clicked on, saw a more wonderful, mature southern Gentleman who seems to know what he's doing, not much talking more action, no narcisstic talking about how great you are...just got on wiht the job. nLike I said I'm not an expert, I always do easy peasy "flippable" things but have always wanted to learn how to reupholster PROPERLY. I watched you from start to finish and I saw QUALITY, CONTROL/PRECISION, REAL TALENT, A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE, REAL GENUINE HONED SKILLS AND...HUMILITY! Sorry for the long winded comment you might see this you might not but THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO IT IS A ONE IN A MILLION!!!!!!!!! SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!!

SO nice! I am one of the people who don't particularly care for her choice for the back but it is her choice so fair play. Kudos to you for the care you take.

    • @MarksUpholstery

It’s called synthetic webbing or plastic webbing. I’m currently using the webbing I bought in quantity when a local upholstery supply store went out of business. I’ll be looking soon for another source, Thanks for watching
