- The first MeloRoo 2016 video is a special one; here we say goodbye to our five incredible seniors as they sing "Night Changes" by One Direction.

Austin Lyons
The impact these guys have had on the group has been remarkable, and we hate to see them go. They're our leaders, our soloists, our bass and beatboxer, our arrangers, and so much more.
But we're excited to bring you new material throughout the summer, and we're especially excited to introduce you to the newest Melodores when auditions roll around in the fall!

I love James's reaction to Nikhil's solo. Reminds of how my jazz section reacted during a big performance when our second alto finally hit an absurdly high falsetto note for the first time.
I feel this so much. The raw emotion was so freaking beautiful. I could tell you all love each other dearly and that brings me joy. I'm sorry that you guys are leaving, but promise me you'll never lose touch of that moment up on stage, where for one last time you performed on that stage. Even if you one day find your self so far removed from that moment that you don't even recognize your old self. Always remember. Btw, wonderful vocals. Especially the guy who usually beat boxes!! He has a lovely instrument.

All-male a capella groups are generally vehicles to get girls on campus, which is the same thing that One Direction is known for (their fan base is like 90% female, right?), so it's not a great look to be taken seriously if you're covering One Direction. Granted this group is probably in the 5% most serious all-male acapella groups out there...
