  • Hi, it’s Dr. Kim here! This week, we had a patient in with some pretty thick, fungus-filled toenails! The patient was so sensitive to the thick nail cutting, they had to be numbed to get the job done! Stay tuned until the very end for the final results!

    Congratulations. Thank you for the video and many more videos. Dr. Kim is performing the procedure treatment on the patient who is relaxed and comfortable. The patient is questioning about her feet and the doctor said that she has a fungus. The patient has to given pain a shot for some procedure. The patient knows that her toe nails will be healthy again. Everyone is greatly appreciated. Love always, Patricia ❤🎉😊Great job!

      It's clear to me that she was special needs. At first i was annoyed with her too because i work on feet and i know what he was doing doesn't hurt, but once i realized what he was dealing with, i realized that she was just afraid and interpreting something as being painful even though it really isn't. He was patient with her, which is the right way to go about it. Seems like a super nice guy

    My mom had a fungus infection. It wasnt this bad, but she had about 2 mm thick toe nail. She sad it was hard to move it and that it was stiff, but she refused to believe it was fungus because she always took care of her feet. She had a massive rock fall on it and thought it was because of that. She was right, but not in the way she thought. When that rock fell on the toe blood got cought inside and bacteria grew. I told her I could fix it (not a profesional). Bought some files for one use and antifungal treatment. After a month of gently filing the surface and applying the treatment once a week, most of her nail fell off. There was still some stuburn fungus, but it was cleared after 3 months. It took a year for the nail to grow back, but my mom was happy her toe wasnt stiff anymore 😊

    Good thing her father became aware of this and stepped in to help financially. If she could trim the smaller nails is besides the point. May not have had the right clippers, then got out of hand. Fungus can thicken nails fairly quickly. My husband had natural strong nails but kept them trimmed. When he got too ill and he was sensitive to pain as they thickened, he wouldn't let me trim them.

      I doubt that the pain was unbearable. This woman has specials needs, which the doc addressed any way he could. If numbing the two toes made life easier for everyone, then why not! He did a great job with his special patient!

    • @cwillis92
      @cwillis92 Рік тому +2

      When it's specifically a nail unless they're constantly wearing tight shoes it wouldn't be that uncomfortable. Walking around with a bad toenail is no where near as painful as trying to walk with something like an ulcer 🤷🏾‍♂️. This includes a doctor actively touching the nail/toe.

    • @ecd398411

      I hear you but I think it depends on the physician. Plenty of the procedures I've seen look rather painless for the patients during the numbing process. However, the physician who numbed my toe did a horrible job. The pain was absolutely awful.

    • @maryannkom299

    • @daniellelippincott5256
      @daniellelippincott5256 Рік тому +44

      I think the issue is that this lady may have special needs. Either way, she's anticipating the nail cutting being painful and everyone knows numbing means something that's painful won't hurt. Plus, numbing only hurts for a very short time and cutting nails like those can be painful the entire time because they pull against the skin and nail bed.
