- Опубліковано 17 вер 2022
- Hi, it’s Dr. Kim here! This week, we had a patient in with some pretty thick, fungus-filled toenails! The patient was so sensitive to the thick nail cutting, they had to be numbed to get the job done! Stay tuned until the very end for the final results!

She seems to be extremely sensitive. Numbing as you recommended was truly wise. Doctor, you’re very considerate.
Congratulations. Thank you for the video and many more videos. Dr. Kim is performing the procedure treatment on the patient who is relaxed and comfortable. The patient is questioning about her feet and the doctor said that she has a fungus. The patient has to given pain a shot for some procedure. The patient knows that her toe nails will be healthy again. Everyone is greatly appreciated. Love always, Patricia ❤🎉😊Great job!
Wow! I have watched quite a few toenail cuttings with very long and thick nails. I think these were the thickest ones I have seen so far!!
You're a Saint. I was getting so aggravated w how she was acting like she was hurting when you hadn't even cut the other toe nails. You have a gift. ❤
If she says she is hurting who are you to say she isnt??
@@michellehall1056 she may of been in pain but not because of him trimming the nail... the nail clipper hadn't even touched her toe nail yet.
I think she had the right to yell out. It looked painful to me , if im thinking of the right moment that u r (the second toe on her right foot). I thought it looked painful because the angle he tried cutting it from and the toe looked ingrown.
It's clear to me that she was special needs. At first i was annoyed with her too because i work on feet and i know what he was doing doesn't hurt, but once i realized what he was dealing with, i realized that she was just afraid and interpreting something as being painful even though it really isn't. He was patient with her, which is the right way to go about it. Seems like a super nice guy
Your a @@foodcritic4164 not a toe critic. Stay in your lane 😂😭
Omg, I never knew toenails could look like this. Amazing
Nail is incredible
Et on n’a pas les odeurs 🤢
I just now saw worse than this on another channel.
@@dorarobertson3608 her look like she's young, I thought only older people got thick yellow nails like this?
Oh my.. Some poor little one needs help cleaning his feet. Not the dear little ones fault.
This was a daughter. Also, appears as being a special needs person. Thanks for kindness and helping her thru the process. Slow guidance helps to get them thru what makes them feel unsure of what is happening.😊
This patient was annoying. Everything hurts. Did it also hurt to wash her feet?? Apparently she’s putting on a show. She walked around with her toenails in that condition for a long time so I’m sure what the doctor is doing can’t be that bad!! She’s disgusting 🤮
@@gwyndolynfoster3805 Never just someone unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. This is the USA, where there little to no support for anyone who’s struggling
@@tictactoe325 How can I walk a mile in her shoes when clearly she can’t. Before you try to reply to anyone please check your spelling, otherwise it makes you look like a fool.
@@gwyndolynfoster3805 You unnecessarily, and harshly, criticized the other commentor for a couple spelling errors, while at the same time using improper punctuation yourself, good job!
Your intolerance for someone that doesn't meet your hygiene standards is really disappointing. You know nothing about this woman, nothing about her socioeconomic status, nothing about any possible disabilities she might have, physical or intellectual, and yet you clearly feel that it's ok for you to judge her, and call her disgusting! What's wrong with you that you think this is ok? What if this was your daughter, or family member, would it still be disgusting? I hope the patient never reads your comment, because it's the only thing that's disgusting about this video!
@@gwyndolynfoster3805 what an ignorant comment on multiple fronts. She clearly has special needs and was scared. I hope no one has ever had to rely on you to care for them, they’d end up traumatized from your lack of empathy.
Screams when you cut the nail, yet submits to numbing which is way more painful. You were very patient with her.
I thought that too!
😂

Believe it or not some people have very sensitive feet or have a genuine fear of their feet being touched (clearly the feet had not been touched in a while) Also English is her 2nd language and she seemed to be worried about the price. If this was a dentist no one would question her reaction. 😊
A special needs girl.
Excellent! Brilliant job, I admire his patience. He's such a good doctor!!
Your such amazing Doctor so much care for your patients.and such a great job !
Oo she gave me a fright 😂😂when she shouted out
When she hollered, I hollered 🤣😂🤣😂
My goodness. Bless her heart. So glad you were able to help her.
I hope to see her follow ups. You are so sweet and concerned. I think you can help her not be as afraid. She just needs a little compassionate care. Your specialty. ❤
This was so satisfying to watch! She really scared me with the first big AH!
Me to. Lol
I jumped outta my skin twice😂
That kid's scream (ouch!) made me jump in my chair. 🤣🤣🤣. I was relaxing, listening to the clipping sound then..."OUCH!" scared the daylight out of me. 🤣🤣🤣
😊😊😊😊
😮doing an exceptional job, you're being very patient towards your patient, I really enjoy watching😊
We all jumped when she yelled! 🤣
I did!!!😅🤣😂
Me to! Lol
Me too 🤭🤭
Your kindness and compassion always come through ❤
Thank you Dr. Kim. I recognize alot of your questions and comments had nothing to do with the condition of her toes, but the safety of the patient once she left his office. Clearly there was a problem with neglect ans possible abuse. I hope she is in a better situation a year out
What do you think about soaking the feet first and using a water drill
Also, an elderly person: for ex. someone with dementia may be very frightened of simple hygiene rituals. Understanding and not judgement is what is needed in any special needs case, along with good care.
agreed. I used to do home health work with dementia.
The patient was in there with her father. At first I was thinking it was an elderly person. But the skin on the feet didn't look elderly. Yes, a special needs person in with her father.
You have no proof she had dementia. She was very aware of what was going on. Just afraid of doctors like many other people.
Yes. Dementia patients often avoid hygiene habits they would have been strict about previously. Folks with autism can have great difficulty with strange sensations, hard to process.
My brother is on the autism spectrum and has trouble with doctors in general. He needs a xanax to get in the door to most doctors. Bloodwork is fine oddly enough.
Wonderful bedside manner Doctor for nervous patients! God bless you
Excelente trabajo👏🏻 Me imagino la felicidad del paciente de sentirse mejor. Ahora a recuperarse. 💪🏼
😅
He is amazing. We need mroe doctors like him in other fields as well. Before this year, i tho9ght toenails that looked like this automatically meant you had fungus. These videos have taught me toes can look like this simpmy from trauma. I am grateful for being able to learn more and more with each video I come across
I'm looking forward to seeing any follow up you can post, you did a brilliant job with these nails and you were excellent with the patient.
The pain from numbing the toe would be worse than just getting the nails trimmed.I had needles in my toe where I had a ingrown toe nail hurt very much.
Nerves are in toes and fingers that's why it's painful never seen toe nails this bad . Wow
Such a great bedside manner in talking to your patient and her dad. Great way to help put someone at ease by being lighthearted and joking with them. Awesome that you're in my city too. Love Long Beach, California.
Self care is a must! I’m glad the good doctor was able to help.
Omg! I wasn’t ready for her scream, she screamed and I screamed… this was amazing
I am surprised she let him numb them! Good job doc!
The doctor truly knows his stuff and this was very interesting.
Thank you, the doctor's information is very useful... always successful
Thank you sir for being so kind ! It takes a special person to show this much patience and kindness !
No chit!
Right , no chit !
Is this a child who’s having this done?
This doctor is wonderful. So patient and kind. He’s always checking in with her and I love his sense of humor

@@TheMilwaukieDan exactly! This “doctor “ is extremely unprofessional and bad at it too
Great job of reassuring her!! They look much better now. 😊
Great job I also have fungus toenails also T-2 , I need to make an appointment at my clinic with the podiatrist my toe nails are getting too long they interfere with walking. , you seem kind and compassionate :)
Fabulous job doc. U certainly never disappoint. Ur so sweet and as gentle as u can be under the circumstances.
Tradutor please..... .
Scared me, I jumped when she hollared. LoL
My mom had a fungus infection. It wasnt this bad, but she had about 2 mm thick toe nail. She sad it was hard to move it and that it was stiff, but she refused to believe it was fungus because she always took care of her feet. She had a massive rock fall on it and thought it was because of that. She was right, but not in the way she thought. When that rock fell on the toe blood got cought inside and bacteria grew. I told her I could fix it (not a profesional). Bought some files for one use and antifungal treatment. After a month of gently filing the surface and applying the treatment once a week, most of her nail fell off. There was still some stuburn fungus, but it was cleared after 3 months. It took a year for the nail to grow back, but my mom was happy her toe wasnt stiff anymore 😊
У моего отца такие ногти, и я не знаю что с этим делать. Лежачий 88 лет.
we have habits not able to logically explain. She feels much fears for cutting nails. You, doc totally helped her with Great work and kindness ❤
I hate to bask in someone’s misery, but when I see gnarly toenails like these, I can’t wait to see them cut and transformed! Great job as always Doc. 👍
You should remove the nail down to its vase.
You should use the scrapper of Dr Xui Yidao to remove the nail with fungus . Im not contented with the outcome
What an excellent foot specialist. He has a wonderful empathy for his clients. Thank you
Wonderful job. If She was hurting by what you were doing, how was She doing daily.
I have a similar situation. What I have seen give me the power to go to a doctor.Congratulations! Where you,in what state? I live in Orange,California.
This is a very satisfying job. If I know this job before I go to college, I would definitely choose this path, LOL
You’re such a kind, patient dr. She seemed to really have some issues and you were so patient. ❤
He stuck her with the points on his tool. That would hurt anybody. Then he accidentally shaved off some of her skin when he filed down her nails. That would also hurt anyone.
@@robinlillian9471 she was already numbed on the one foot and he numbed the second one before he used the drill on it. I work on feet as well. You clearly don't understand what you're seeing. This girl was obviously special needs and nothing he was doing would have hurt her, she was just scared. He was very patient and kind and handled the situation very well. @@Kristen.The.Girl_ He numbed individual toes, not the whole foot.
@@brigidtheirish of course i know that, i work on feet as well. I meant that he'd only added a numbing agent to one foot that he was working on, but yes, just numbing the toe that was necessary

I was tickled at your trying so hard to keep her distracted ❤! Plus, she did not really understand what she was in for much less about the importance of trying to deal with the fungus!! And I wish you had a water spray with your Dremel, plus a smaller bit to help get next to the cuticles 😊
‼️ WOW…that was loads of fun…plenty of CHUNKS and heaps of GUNK…just the way we like it‼️
I was hoping for more of the nail to be cut off, but it did end up looking so much better !

Your such a good and wonderful person thanks doc for being so gentle with your patient 🦶🏾 ❤
Bless you for being so gentle and kind with her. You were wonderful.
Doctor you are a blessing! Here in Brazil I hv never seen toe nail that bad! Very common in the US. Such a rich country with issues like that!
That’s the least of our problems in America. Our Nation is far from rich! Did you forget who our president is now?? Biden is a complete idiot!!! We have tons of gas n oil in Texas, yet we pay a pretty price for gas, groceries, etc….. If Trump wins this election I’m praying America will be great again! Now we are just an embarrassment! Freaking liberals are destroying America!!! God help us!
So awful to be in this condition! Thank you, dr, for your care and compassion!!

Great job Doctor. Your patient was very aware of what was happening and I am glad she was voicing her opinion.
You are an amazing doctor!!!!! Hope we get to watch you get the rest of the big toenails
Voicing her opinion or over exaggerating every little bit of sensation she (imagined that she) felt?
Good thing her father became aware of this and stepped in to help financially. If she could trim the smaller nails is besides the point. May not have had the right clippers, then got out of hand. Fungus can thicken nails fairly quickly. My husband had natural strong nails but kept them trimmed. When he got too ill and he was sensitive to pain as they thickened, he wouldn't let me trim them.
My daddy had horrific toenails like this😳.This doctor is wonderful
You’re so sweet and compassionate! I wish all doctors were like you! I know from personal experience that fear can make pain worse.
Parabéns!Exelente trabalho, muita perícia, paciente demonstrando ser bem difícil!Essa é a hora , a onde se conhece o ótimo profissional.Deus os abençoe em o nome de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo Amém!Boa noite!

How long did it take for nails to get like this? Wow!

Dr. Kim is so kind to this girl! She was so scared and he just calmed her down!
Excelente trabalho PARABÉNS
I’ll never understand how nails can get so bad.. like how is that possible for them to get that way?? It’s so thick it’s more like a rock on her foot than a nail..
It amazes me how people walk around with bad conditions.. and then when the doctors starts treatment...the pain is so unbearable
I doubt that the pain was unbearable. This woman has specials needs, which the doc addressed any way he could. If numbing the two toes made life easier for everyone, then why not! He did a great job with his special patient!
When it's specifically a nail unless they're constantly wearing tight shoes it wouldn't be that uncomfortable. Walking around with a bad toenail is no where near as painful as trying to walk with something like an ulcer 🤷🏾♂️. This includes a doctor actively touching the nail/toe.
ó
Some people don't care about their higiene, sad very ... Wherever.
@@emeresquiviasvargas2448 It hurt when she tried to cut those two nails, and she was understandably afraid of doctors. The other nails were neat. Some people, like you, care more about superficial appearances than about other humans.

You so kind gentle touching the toenails affects of fungus
I think she must be special needs. Good job Dr
Very good job.
You deserve a medal for doing these nails 😊
I know my comment may no be good but it appears water hurts he feet too. Podiatrist have a challenging job.
Love watching these while having supper
While these toes look a lot better than when he started, he could have changed the file head of that machine & got a much better finish
The numbing hurts far worse than the toenail cutting ever could. To each his own but this lady and her dad need to stay on top of her hygiene.
I hear you but I think it depends on the physician. Plenty of the procedures I've seen look rather painless for the patients during the numbing process. However, the physician who numbed my toe did a horrible job. The pain was absolutely awful.
No doctor I know would give numbing for toenail clips, even if they were this bad.
I think the issue is that this lady may have special needs. Either way, she's anticipating the nail cutting being painful and everyone knows numbing means something that's painful won't hurt. Plus, numbing only hurts for a very short time and cutting nails like those can be painful the entire time because they pull against the skin and nail bed.
For real
I agree!!!! She's just a big baby!!!!!
Awesome job!! Well done you!
Interested to know the back story on this one; it is unusual to see the toenails of one so young in this shape. Was there some sort of previous injury that led to this?
Cómo pueden dejar crecer las uñas de esa manera?
Have somebody whack your big toe with something hard like that eventually. The trauma does that
Meu Deus que paciência Que o senhor
Tem fez um bom trabalho
Oh my gosh I'm laughing out loud, the doctor screamed😂😂😂
I have been using Jublia and that has been helping & at night I have been using a baking soda & apple cider vinegar paste with a bandage & that has been helping a lot too
This patient that is having her nails cut . Is obviously a special needs person . She is there w/ her dad , so I guessing he has to make sure this is done more frequently . So the next time she will not go through being uncomfortable!!
