They all turned out gorgeous! That cobalt and jade combo is beautiful. Also like the one near the beginning with sandstone and a green/blue- reminds me of the beach/ocean. 🍁🥰
Your glaze combos are just beautiful!! I really love the mug before the cobalt and seaweed one that was white with pinks in it. You said you may need to stop doing that glaze combo since it drips so much but you didn’t mention the glazes you used. That dish at the end is just stunning!! The foot is fabulous and looks so professional!
That mug had Lavender Mist, Winterwood and Raspberry Mist with Pearl Gray underglaze on the bottom. When I went back and checked my application notes, I saw that I had also added a little bit of Flux between the layers. Maybe next time I will try it without the Flux. I really want it to work because I love the way it looks together.
These are gorgeous. I love them. The Cobalt Seaweed mug is my favorite but I also enjoy the Halloween mug. Also the one your daughter did is stunning she has a great eye for color.
I'm so into the mug at 2:13 and it won't surprise you the mug at 13:13 is just as spectacular! that glaze combo speaks to meeeeee!! Is that a cobalt celadon? Your kiddo did amazing on their mug, too!
I love those combinations! Yes, that is Amaco's Cobalt celadon with Amaco Seaweed (which is a Potters Choice glaze). The first mug also had Snow celadon.
Once I get everything dialed in, I shouldn't have to adjust it again until my elements start wearing out. It would be nice if it just worked like I want right from the start though! :)
I just discovered your channel. Your work is gorgeous. You're very talented and also extremely knowledgeable. This makes your videos both entertaining and also informative/informational. Thanks for being so info-taining.
just found your video today, and absolutely LOVE all your glaze combos! Have some pieces ready to be glazed and actually have almost all of the glazes you mentioned, so Im going to give it a go~! Thank You for your inspiration!
If you like the honey flux look or things like frosted lemon with sandstone I found a combination that I’m sure you’ll love. 1 coat Coyote Alabaster Satin 1 coat Spectrum Texture Mottle Then 1 or 2 coats of a color of your choosing, one of my favorites is Green Tea but I’ve tried dozens of colors and they all look good. If you use 2 coats of texture mottle it will be a warmer color with more yellow and texture. It’s hard to describe this combination but it’s more interesting than honey flux for sure, it took me over a 1,000 shot glass test tiles to find this glaze combination.
The glaze combination at the 8:00 mark (the one that stuck to the cookie) would look great on a cauldron mug/planter. The matte black glaze looks like cast iron and the colorful drips would look like potions spilling over. You could use different color glazes for the various potions.
I wrote the above comment before getting to your Halloween mugs. So great. The cauldron-style shape that I was referring to usually has 3 short rounded tapered feet. A little tripod cooking pot shape.
I use brush on glazes. For the most part, I won't put the top glazes more than halfway down the piece, if it is 3 glazes, the top most glaze stays to the top 1/3. The green and black mug that ran was from the shape of the wave line...the glaze gathered at the bottom of the wave and it allowed it to have huge drips. The pink/purple mug was my mistake...I had a small amount of flux added and I should have left that out.
Cream is stable by itself but very fluid in combination.
I do love a glaze that likes to flow...now I just need to play with it some more to get a better idea of how to use it best.

Thank you!! Miss you guys!

Best deep red I’ve found is coyote really red x2 and dry brush of Amaco deep firebrick on top for a deep blood red. Great videos

So glad I have a skutt kiln, never had to adjust yet.

Spectrum Textured Autumn is my favorite for tree textures 🌲
Thanks, I'll have to check that one out.

I will have to give that a try! Thank you!
I use a lot of the combinations you use, have not tried seaweed over wasabi, with light flux - really great, I will use that one.
That was my first time trying that one. I will definitely use it again!
Hoooo, shit! That was a gorgeous firing! Thank you for sharing. That cup your daughter did is beautiful. Seriously. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I was extremely happy with that firing!

That's a great idea! I love a bright colorful glaze over a black matte base... it always looks so good. Adding "cauldron" feet would be perfect!
the seaweed and cobalt ones are so gorgeous
I agree! Always a favorite of mine!
They are very cute stuff you have, I like that green colour
Thank you so much!
Loved the wasabi combo
Thanks! I hadn't tried that combo before. I will definitely be doing it again!
Some lovely pieces😊
Thank you! 😊
What's the brand name for Ultra Black Underglaze. I love the smooth matte finish.
It is an Amaco velvet underglaze.
Do you fire the underglaze at bisque, or with the glaze fire under the rest of the Color’s?
I fire my underglaze transfers at bisque, but that is mostly because I prefer to apply them at the leather hard stage.
Do you dip these or brush them on? How far down are you putting the top coat on the outside on the pieces that ran and stuck?
I use brush on glazes. For the most part, I won't put the top glazes more than halfway down the piece, if it is 3 glazes, the top most glaze stays to the top 1/3. The green and black mug that ran was from the shape of the wave line...the glaze gathered at the bottom of the wave and it allowed it to have huge drips. You could very well change your channel name to "Frozen Fire Pottery" as that is what I was thinking of as you pulled pieces out of the kiln.
That would be a really cool pottery name!
Oh yes ❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍lovely
Thank you!
