  • Today I go camping for a night in the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park section of Kananaskis Country! I camp with my Mom and her boyfriend Ken at the Boulton Creek Campground at site D-120/D-121. On our first day it rained a lot so we spent some time at the visitor center in the park, exploring the building. When the rain stopped, we headed to the North Interlakes Day Use area to do a short hike by the shore of the Upper Kananaskis Lake. Our second day takes us to the Elbow Sheep Wildland where we do the hike to the Rae Glacier! It takes us past the backcountry campground at Elbow Lake, and then up towards the glacier for an amazing hike.

Not really, going in prepared with bear spray and what to do if you encounter wildlife helped me alleviate most of my fears. Thanks!

How long did it take you to hike up the Rae Glacier?

Ken Harold Estonido I think it took us 2-2.5 hours to get up to the glacier, and that was with lots of stops and me taking video as well
