I live in a red state and it is so refreshing to listen to people who understand what is happening and why we need to support Ukraine.
As someone who was born and raised in the Red State stronghold of Utah (and who lived there for 32 years before finally making my escape to WA state) - you have my sympathy. when I bought my first home in 2001, my interest rate was 6.28%. the economy is fine....we will get thru this....I remember when gas was .79 cents a gallon.... prices go up.
I'm Canadian and my interest rate never went below 9.5%. In one year it went to 18.5%. We almost lost our house thousands did. Then a year later went back to 9.5%. People don't realize just how bad things can get. I'm glad I'm old.

i am a dual citizen and dual combat veteran of ireland and the usa who volunteered in ukraine last year and has many friends in and around the area in ukraine, moldova, georgia(the country) and more.
i have been to ukraine on multiple occasions prior to the russian invasion it is an amazing country. i currently have friends that are STILL fighting in ukraine against the russian invaders. they need any and all support they can get. eastern ukraine has been flattened.

Chris, I love that you’re talking about the interest rate for learning money, it always bothered me that the interest rate went near zero, it basically said our money is worth like 0% interest… Paying five or six or even 7% is a healthy amount of interest it gives people respect for the money that they’re borrowing or loaning to someone I mean if I loan you money, I wanna be paid for my trust in you to pay it back over a long period of time and I should be paid for taking that money out of my pocket and giving it to you to use over the next few years … Makes sense?

When my dad was a driver for Amazon, he was told he couldn’t pull into driveways. He had to park on the street because they didn’t want him backing into traffic. My dad was a truck driver for 30 years, he can back up any kind of vehicle with no problem. But the companies would rather put their employees at rick getting out in the street

I hear you Cris when people drive while reading their phones it’s insane. The tall tail sign of somebody texting while driving is when a person pulls up to a stoplight to stop, but they are car lengths away from the car in front of them and they leave this huge gap between them and the next car or even worse, they won’t pull up to the line at the crosswalk where you’re supposed to stop if you’re the first car and they’ll be one or two car length away from, the crosswalk where the front of your car is supposed to be. Dingdong!
People still know and help their neighbors in the hood. Community is a lot more necessary in lower income neighborhoods. It's just survival.

Some things never change. @14:00 the best scam I ever heard of was someone would scout a neighbourhood single out a home and steal the BBQ. Then after a few days they would return the BBQ with a note apologizing for stealing it because they were drunk, so they returned it nice and clean, full of fuel, and two tickets to the ball game. When the home owners went to the ball game their home got cleaned out.
