On the way out, he took a swing at the security guard and missed, and he then punched one of the slot machines, broke the glass and damaged the reels, (it was on the Triple Butterfly Machine) and then broke his hand. The casino charged him with public mischief, property damage and public drunkenness, as the police were called. To make matters worse, the Japanese tourist confronted Griswold in the casino lobby (related to the vomit on the pants), and threw a karate style roundhouse kick to Griswold's head, knocking him completely out in front of other patrons. Griswold had a bleeding nose that would not cease as he is on blood thinners for his A-Fib problem he currently encounters. He lost approximately 500 ml of blood and had a subsequent replacement of plasma at the hospital. It was a disastrous night for Griswold. He didnt win anything and wound up in hospital. Lesson: avoid the potato salad at the buffet in the casino.
