Great information, thank you for sharing. What are your thoughts doing mastering on a solo digital piano recording. I tend to use less plugins, but i am still experimenting. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for watching and the comment. Mastering piano is tricky as there are so many variables. While I can do some master bus processing of anything I record, I always send something I am releasing to a mastering engineer. I know it’s an additional expense but well worth it.

Pete, great video thanks! Do you use the Audio Ease Altiverb 7 Regular or XL? Im debating on which one to buy...

Thanks. I believe i have one license for each version. I use regular on my portable rig and the XL on my work computer. The XL seems to have lots of features. I would research those features and see if you need them for what you do. I also like the Fab Filter Pro R reverb quite a bit and while it is algorithmic and not convolution, it is still excellent and i use it quite often.

Typically, Yes. There are times when I use an insert. That is usually when it's a special effect. Thanks for watching
