I can remember playing with paper dolls. This looks to be a fabulous fun project to do. Yours turned out beautiful. Very interesting to listen and watch. Thanks for sharing with us, always a treat. 💜🌲🌹
I remember 'scraps' from my childhood in Scotland, we used to put them in between the pages in books and then we would do swaps with friends, that was a blast from the past Jeri! As for the dumplings...mum used to put them in minced beef and we called them doughboys, I remember being 'encouraged' to eat them up...never again! 😄
thank you for this. I was having trouble sleeping and was soothed by the sound of your voice and the sound of the dog snoring! and your artistry is amazing.
Jeri you read my mind on this one. I love how you decorated the trees in the past, and you have shown them to us. I wanted to see how you made them. Thank you so much. I love your work. God bless you and yours x♥️🎄♥️🎄♥️🎄🙏😊
These are beautiful Jeri! It was so fun and very interesting. You have such a wonderful collection of paper, ribbons, lace etc. The recipe for your chicken and dumplings looked delicious too, I will definitely try it. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge on such a lovely vintage craft!
This was such an enjoyable video! The tree ornaments are simply darling. Such patience and skill you demonstrated beautifully. I love learning about the ways of the past. Chicken and dumplings are a real comfort food in the colder weather. I can't wait for the next Edwardian installment! 🎄🎀🎄
Oh my goodness - these Edwardian ornaments are so dear. You dressed these ladies in style. The lamb, the Santa on the swing and the small angel on the heart are my favorites. There is no end to your talents!
I have been waiting for a wonderful video for decorating paper scrap as original as your designs are! Thank you so much for showing us how to create these treasures!
Amazing what can be done using materials and ingredients on hand…yummy for those dumplings and the stew. Thank you for all your preparation and hard work in doing the Edwardian series … pray you have a blessed and peace filled feast dear Jeri.
Thank you my friend. This video took several days to make with all the short video clips to edit.... it was a bit of a pain, but I hope it inspired someone to make the ornaments.
Beautiful! As a little girl, I played with paper dolls that had tabs on the dresses to hold them on. Much more simple than your exquisite little creations.
Thank you, Jeri, these are beautiful. I made the cinnamon ornaments with my granddaughter! She loved doing this, and they are now hanging on her tree at home.
I LOVE this video Jeri! Cooking and watching your talent bring alive a piece of paper into a beautiful ornament to treasure for years to come. This was a perfect, fitting and educational production that I enjoyed. Thank you for making and sharing with us. Blessings ….. Brian
Jeri, my grandma came over to the US as a little girl, from Sweden. She said her parents called her a snow baby because once they left the window open and a bit of snow had blown in on her cradle as a baby. She was such a creative lady and even drew for Disney! She loved paper dolls and bought them for my sister and I to cut and play with when we would come visit her. I am having great memories come back to me of my childhood watching the video! I might just have to get some of these items for my young nieces to enjoy ❤ Thank you!
Thank you Jeri, a beautiful inspiring much needed bit of joy here in Wales UK where we are still dealing with the debris of the hurricane that hit recently. But all animals and family are safe and feeling grateful, love to you and yours xxx
I'm so glad you and yours are safe! We went through the same thing several weeks ago here in the southeast US. It hit pretty close to home but we too were spared the worst.
Loved this and all your videos Jeri. I collect and like alot of the antique things you do. Your scrap ornaments look authentic. Many Blessings to you and yours.
Awe, that really warms my heart to see you using these vintage Dresden paper foile stencil cuts to craft these beautiful and unique "dolls". I wish you wonderful Advent days and a blessed Christmas as well as a happy and healthy new year. Huggs from the Schurwald, Germany. 🙂💖🌲🌲🌲🫖🍵🎄✨🎀🎁
Thanks for another delightful DIY Video :) When I saw the paper-dolls you used for the balerina I was reminded of a craft I did 10 year ago; I had discovered old fashioned button-cards and decided to make my own; I printed out one huge paper-doll and some smaller ones and used the smaller ones as button/lace/band-cards, sewed different sets of buttons on each paper-doll-card and wrapped lace and band around it; using only the head and body. and made a a kind of shopdisplay-stand of the big one with a box where I could put the small dolls in. I got so caught up with making all kinds of button-cards I sewed 150 cards LOL
Jeri I do get excited when I see your posts. Today's post is no exception. I remember in the 60's playing with paper dolls but definitely not as amazing as these! I think I'm going to try these and hopefully have a little Edwardian era tree next year. Even older ladies like to play with paper dolls. ❤ Thank you for be you and having this wonderful channel. Have a great week!
I enjoyed watching how you make the delicate doll arrangements! They turned out beautiful! You have so much talent and you show us how we can also make beautiful things. Thanks so much! Have a great Christmas!
I cheat and use Grands biscuits for my dumplings but these are the real deal and I’m sure tons better. I love scrap ornaments. Love your tutorial! Have a wonderful Christmas!❤
Such a delightful craft, Jeri, reminding me of growing up with paper dolls. I hope to find the old Mary Frances books. My mom made her Chicken & Dumplings with thin rolled out squares of dough, I'd like to try the drop kind. Your bedroom ballerina picture is beautiful. Thank you for continuing this series
Oh wow, those are beautiful. That's a wonderful way to spend a day with family. Thank you, for sharing this. Also, that chicken& dumplings looks delicious! 🌲🎄👼🕯️🦌
I am thrilled I found your page! I love your creativity. I have made these sweet little die cut ornaments in the past but not as amazing as you. You have given me some great ideas. Maybe I will make a few more as I love them!
These are amazing! I've been wanting to try making these and your video is giving me the confidence to do it! I've definitely got the scraps!😊 Thanks so much Jeri!
What a great video, never too long when you're teaching such great crafts. I love your stash of goodies! The dog snoring in the back round is precious.
Beautiful ornaments! I know my middle daughter (45 & crafty) would love making these. (Never cared for drop dumplings. I prefer the kind that is rolled out really thin & cut & dropped into a large pot of chicken broth, adding chicken last.) But there are several ways & preferences out there.😊
Thank you Ms Jeri for another outstanding video. This craft really displays your artistic genius & I can’t wait to make the recipe. Love this Edwardian series!
How lovely! My mother loved scraps. We had scrap books as children in the 1950s in which we collected scraps. My own children were frequently given scraps by their grandmother in the 1980s in Gt. Britain, where they were definitely still available. I am unsure when they became less popular in the UK, possibly in the 1990s? Sadly the shops that sold them gradually closed.
Jeri, this is a wonderful inspiration to use some old scraps. I still have my own ones from 1960's and I have been lucky to find some older ones from the antique markets here in Germany. Your ballerina is gorgeous! Happy Holidays to you and all your friendly animals!
You must have some great Christmas Markets in Germany. My favorite antique toys are all from Germany, and the scraps I used in the video were also from that country.
Oh Jeri!! This is my favorite video. I have loved these ornaments for so long, and now I have your wonderful instruction to guide me to make my own lovelies. I live in TN, also, and our town was hit hard by Helene. Things are still tough, and I had not planned to decorate for Christmas. Your video has lifted my spirits, and given me inspiration....so,... change of plans. Thanks for taking the time to share your lovely talent and instruction. Oh, and hearing the snoring dog (Leo?) made my day!
Jeri I loved this video! The old scrap and Dresden ornaments turned out beautifully! This is the best creative Christmas video on youtube! Merry Christmas~
Qué bien has vestido a la muñequita!!
Lovely! Hmm... II have to say I'm envisioning a mini tree filled with possibly gaudy Edwardian kitty-head figures... 12 of them and each one somehow representing a month of the year... 😂
Another excellent and enjoyable video Jeri. Your crafting is magical!! The decorations are wonderful. Do you or any of your viewers know if I can purchase the die-cuts in Canada? The cost of shipping is more then the items if I order from the US. I would love to make some. Thank you!!
I can remember playing with paper dolls. This looks to be a fabulous fun project to do. Yours turned out beautiful. Very interesting to listen and watch. Thanks for sharing with us, always a treat. 💜🌲🌹

One dumpling is all I can handle, though these are light and fluffy.
Don't know why but the snoring dog makes this beautiful video perfect ;)
That young dog of ours makes SO many different noises; she snorts, grunts and snores.
Agreed! So adorable!
thank you for this. I was having trouble sleeping and was soothed by the sound of your voice and the sound of the dog snoring! and your artistry is amazing.
Yum…dumplings! A fun family project.
Those ornaments are true treasures! Just beautiful! Your tree must be amazing.

Several of those were the old ones from my Victorian tree video.

I love the Edwardian hair too.Blessings from England.xx🐝🐝
Edwardian hairstyles were fabulous! They really flattered a woman. But I can't say much for the hair-styles of the 20's and 30's
Amazing what can be done using materials and ingredients on hand…yummy for those dumplings and the stew. Thank you for all your preparation and hard work in doing the Edwardian series … pray you have a blessed and peace filled feast dear Jeri.

You had to be a pretty good artist to work for Disney back in the day, she must have been very talented.
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow well, she was just grandma to me! :) She made so many things magical and enchanting just how you do.

Could do without the loud snoring
