The points we threw away against Oxford and Coventry from 2-0 up would have put us in 10th place now 4 points of 6th, it's bizarre really. Today was an even more undeserved win when you watched it on the telly as you see how lucky both goals were, and how poor Adebayo's miss was before Morris got the deflected second goal. Still 3 points is 3 points and somehow we are getting points at home despite having no ball retention, no shape, no attacking threat, no shots on target, no consistent formation, no wing play and no piercing forward passes. That was pure shoplifting from Farmfoods without the police turning up. Come on you Hatters!!
Great video. From a long distance fan I love the balanced perspective and the atmosphere . As one who grew up in early years, went to college in Luton and whom briefly worked for LTFC and witnessed the magic heyday of 1980s Luton Football Club . I appreciate your terrace view of the games .
Mick Harford said it on the VT before the game and RE repeated in his post match interview on Sky - changes will be made in January with some new faces coming in and they are very much needed. Carlton Morris once again did so much running for the team on and off the ball and he deserved his goal - would the ref have given hand ball if it hadnt gone in......
Your turn around times for these vlogs are amazing. Atmosphere was so flat yesterday until Pelly scored, but we got the three points and move forward!!
Degs, this is probably the best video you have posted on here!!! I keep watching it back and all my mates here in Ireland are slowly becoming Luton fans!!! I'm back over New Year's Day! 🤙
Brilliant video D mate again never a dull moment with Luton Town fc is it, your great at predicting the result, I recon u edit it after the game lol take care buddy....C.O.Y.H.
Happy with the 3 points. But that was utter dross! 2 passes then HOOOOOF to elijah or Carlton. When we did try to pass it about last 15... It was soooo slow. 2 deflected goals. Very lucky. Major changes needed
Bit of a smash and grab at the end, but not sure I agree it was an “undeserved win” as, from what I saw on tv, Luton had a lot more chances than Derby. As to the “hoofing the ball”, RE did comment that the pitch has suffered a bit from the weather and recent games, so maybe that was all they could do if the ball wasn’t running for them on the ground. And as for the comments as to “lucky deflected goal” - Pelly’s shot was low, hard and on target, and Carlton’s also looked to be on target, but in the opposite corner to where it ended up - and in the second case, Carlton’s shot was deflected by the defender trying to save it with his hands! So it should have been a penalty anyway. So even without the deflections, there was an odds on chance both could have been goals. I agree that it really didn’t look like we’d get anything from the game, but let’s not go looking to find fault with everything we do on the pitch.
We were poor with the ball ,showed very little quality and another really poor bit of defending gave them a goal. However, Derby were worse overall. They gave the ball away ,showed really limited threat up front compared to us and like us had there keeper to thank for not conceding more. Yes ,we can be loads better but you can only beat what’s in front of u and we did. Luck, like last nights deflected goals comes about when u build pressure and have a go with a few shots etc. We did that. Don’t like the set up with 3 at the back but Edward’s deserves a bit of credit for going for it with the subs. No doubt that influenced the game in a timely manner with energy and something different. I think overall it wasn’t pretty but we did just deserve to win.
Such a poor game, but happy with the late and fortunate win. Those two deflected goals have eased the pressure on RE and will see him through the transfer window, whether we like it or not! Merry Christmas All.
Ross Barkley is absolutely irreplaceable, simple as that, he orchestrated our play, dictated the tempo (as much as was possible considering the opposition he was trying to dictate to) and gave us a style, quick counter attacking team where everyone flooded forward, he also raised the game of those around him, should have given him a stupid contract, player coach job with an eye on the main job in the future, but regardless, I love Rob, trust the board and as I commented before, we have got more points now than we had at the same time last season, great stuff as usual Deggy, come on you hatters.
Totally agree with you…. An undeserved win, and yet again, apart from Hogwarts FC, a dross performance… Edwards has to go, he is arrogant and stubborn, and most importantly wrong, we don’t have the players for three at the back, 10,000 of us know that… he needs to go, my worry is that the January signings will be as 💩as his recent signings. I will drive Walsh to whichever club are stupid enough to sign the 🤡. Happy Christmas, keep up your great videos 🧡🧡🎩🎩
3 at the back nonsense again. You can't expect Chong to be so active on the right wing and have the energy to race back when Kraus has given the ball away again in midfield. A dreadful performance despite a passionate recovery spurred on by the home fans. A better strategy is desperately required.
Well, that was all about the result. We simply don't have a midfield. Poor passing and playing Chong and Moses on the wrong sides is an issue. It wasn't until the subs came on that we had any energy. It's amazing what happens when you shoot. Pelly having a go, and it deflects off Holmes shouldn't be a surprise to players. We don't do it enough. Woodrow will go in Jan, with Taylor going to Huddersfield, probably. Peters is in. This lad from Congo looks to be coming in as well. So we have to get some better midfielders in. I personally would take Walsh out of the squad to make room for someone better. We have the Beguim lad coming in January. So is Pelly on his way🤔. I hope not. Great fighting spirit to win it with a poor performance. COYH
Absolute BEDLAM by needing 2 deflected goals, from a relegated PL team to beat Derby at home 😆 Jesus! At least you gave an honest review. Edwards sacked before end of Jan

So…. Play off dark horses??
Seriously- we know our objectives this season
COYH
You complain about Adebeyo, what about the free header that Morris put wide in the first half?
This just papers over the cracks, we were awful again. Two lucky deflected goals saved us again.
Well done for producing a well balanced podcast so quickly.

Great content, Deggy, nicely done.
A tremendous last 10 minutes by The Town, and well done Pelly! Sorry that he hasn't been credited with the goal!
Another great vlog, the Christmas elves definitely got us out of jail there!

Two words: absoloute cinema

One day, in the not too distant future, Kaminski will come off his goal line to catch a cross.
Degs, this is probably the best video you have posted on here!!!

I'm back over New Year's Day! 🤙
Thanks man! Really appreciate that, always nice on a win!

Super Pelly ❤❤❤❤
Class vlog 👌
Did not expect that one ngl. Absolute limbs when the second goal went in. Please string a few wins now, COYH
I am driving with my car to Bristol got a 3 spots for free. If you wanna guys free transport happy to help . Merry Christmas Hatters

The most undeserved win! Since Hull, Sheffield Wednesday etc. Rob Edwards got the luck of the gods with him at The Kenny
Great prediction Deggy, hope you had a tenner on it.
Nice. Joe Taylor should be in the starting XI. He rules.
There's two Chigozie's Deggy. Brothers. The 17yo was with the U21's.
Great video. Nice to see the limbs!

Went to bed at 75 min as it was so bad. Should have listened to your prediction 😂
Haha oh no 😂 there’s a lot that left!
The guy you Luton fans were calling a ‘shit Carlton Morris’ used to be in my SM24 team.
That was so funny
Spurs fan here happy with your win I have feeling you will get 6th place to end of the season hope I have correct
No chance if making the playoffs with Edwards in charge. Paper cracks today
6th from bottom more realistic
how was the game ? 3points it's 3 points merry Christmas
Papers over the cracks. Formation and players in the wrong positions. Dreadful from RE

He would've been gone by now if he was getting sacked. ££££
