Ten years into the future, Nick, and I would like to thank you! It's me, Molly--- from the email the other day? I am the older lady that is in FL who is legally blind. I am still watching and (trying) learning! It's 8:30 a.m. and we are facing a Major Category 4/5 Hurricane Helene later this evening and tonight, but all I can think about, every day, especially when I wake up, is POI!!! So I am INTO it! I had to get myself some safety glasses, and it's a good thing I did. These new UltraPoi Pro with pro knobs are a LOT heavier than my soft Spin Balls. Thank you, Nick! Your style of teaching is SOOOO good! This move is too advanced for me, but just listening and watching and trying to absorb your lesson will hopefully stay with me as I keep getting better and better. I'm going to learn how to do this, doggonit, and I might be the first almost totally blind person to learn how to flowwww. Thank you, Nick! -Molly Block from FL

Good sir, thank you very much for these videos. They've been my lessons of the day and a good deal of inspiration for my own channel. Cheers! Hope to spin with you at a retreat someday :)

this explains it perfectly. trying this on my own I kept crashing on the hip reel because I thought the left lead the whole way. that extra half turn even came naturally but I kept trying to do it without it cause I thought it wasn't supposed to be there.

always good to keep refreshed on the basics. i have a question for you, what were these poi made with? just some really thick stockings? or did you sew them? you should make another video on how to make poi as part of your challenge. (you may already have?) the one i've seen of yours were a different style of poi than the ones in this video, and i'd LOVE to see how these exact ones were made?
