David i heard u say beryl wud hit at a cat 2. The weathermen said otherwise. I am in spring tx about 20 miles north of downtown houston. When it hit us , we were in the upper northeast quad and just a bit outside of the eyewall. The winds here were every bit of a cat 2 ! This area was hit harder than most areas . My kids in katy ( about 40 miles sw of spring tx ) were able to experiance thier 1st hirrucane eye pass over them !
